About Morgan Wade:
Morgan Wade is a singer-songwriter based out of Floyd, Virginia. She started writing songs at eight years old, but it wasn't until she turned 18 that she began to perform live in 2013. She has since played up and down the East Coast, and has become a favorite to see at her hometown national festival "FloydFest." Her first single called "The Night" debuts May 17th. Wade is currently working on a record thats being produced by Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit) in Nashville, Tennessee.
About OurVinyl:
OurVinyl films creative live performances with both emerging and established musicians. Artists they've worked with include Tyler Childers, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Ed Sheeran, Trevor Hall, Allen Stone, Dispatch, and Donavon Frankenreiter. They always do their best to push the production envelope by filming artists in unique settings that complement the music while capturing studio quality audio regardless of the setting.
It's all live, all one take, no punching in, no autotune, no cheating. Just high energy and true authenticity.

Lyrics:
by summers end i predict that i'll have finally lost my mind
the doctor said that these new pills
they might help me this time
and i hope thats the case because i feel i am wasting the one life that i have
the chances they come and the chances they go
but the time you dont get that back
chorus:
Johnnie called me late last night and i told Mr. Walker just go home
why do the demons in my mind never wanna leave me alone
its the pistol and the bottle its the drugs and its the throttle
that tell me they'll make me feel alive
i know good and well that aint gonna help im just praying i make it through the night
well id love to get to sleep but i cant get too deep
though i am doing the best that i can
my mind likes to talk about everything i am not
and even worse everything i am
i tell my friends and they tell me that time will only do me well
i wont shut my mouth is it a rule down in the south that you cant talk about your mental health
repeat chorusx2

Same. She is a gift. Everyone that likes it claims they want her on radio. Truth doesn't sell. People run from it but the magical ones tell it anyhow and those like us are blessed by it. Real radio wouldn't know what she is playing and singing for. We all listen because we feel it and to us all, that's redemption.

Wow. One of the most honest and powerful songs I’ve heard in years!! Got me all teary eyed and such. Thanks so much for this tune!! Loved the honesty. The lyrics were….well the left me speechless. “I told MR. Walker…” Brilliant. Really hit home with me and this is now on my playlist. Amazing. 1000 stars. Freaking LOVE this!!!!

Can't. Stop. Listening. What an instrument that voice is! THIS is visceral (over-used adjective that applies to this beautiful voice and the old soul that it comes from), thoughtful and genuine. Will definitely be at the show at the House of Blues in February. Big fan of the OurVinyl sessions!

This is the theme song of my personal 2020... this world is filled with so much hate and the nation is crumbling....on top of covid, quarantine, a terrible car wreck (I had mid summer),recovery, (literally driving me crazy), lost a job, 8 weeks of physically therapy, 1 separation, storm damage, other just normal shit days ...has led to being diagnosed with depression!!!... I ’ve been around depression...my entire life, but have never knew what the exact battle was till the last couple of months ... Needless to SAY ....I feel this song in my bones literally! Love her rasp and story telling lyrics!

I'm no stranger to music that isn't mainstream and while I still play my good stuff, new & old, from Arlo Mckinley to Willie and Whitley. Kinda crazy how Morgan has owned my playlist lately. Bravo Ms.Wade & thanks for the tunes. When she hits the road, I'll be at the tour! Or I'll round up a group of people and see how much she wants to come play our barn. There's no one like her.

The most authentic voice I’ve heard since Alynda Segarra first broke onto the scene. In fact, they should share a stage. Morgan Wade, I sincerely hope your future is bright. You sing of a pain I expect you’ve experienced. Stay on the broad highway of honesty of purpose and avoid the twists and turns.

The pain, the cursed, the dark - vividly apparent in her voice, appearance, performance. I hope only a few can truely feel the deep meaning of this song - I know too many are feeling it all too well. Use Morgan's wisdom people, use her to your benefit. Don't just sing along, live it
