Mr. Goodpliers returns to Fred's used car lot to see the antique cars and trucks which have come out of the woods! Follow along for a tour of what's available for projects and parts!
This video was shot August of 2023, and the remainder of the cars have been moved out of the trees. Scott, the new owner, can be reached at 620 330 6815. He is only available weekends at this location.

Thanks for braving the heat for this one. Love these old junkyards and unfortunately they are going away fast. Had a '64 Dodge 440 four door post back in the 80s. Push button auto with a slant six. Young knuckleheads would always pull up at the light reving their small block Novas & such after seeing the badging lol. I'm thinkin, can't you hear the exhaust note? Thanks also for knowing her sh*t. Too many guys are touring and posting, not knowing what the make model or year. Keep em coming brother 👍

Tim, thanks for braving the heat. I live in Middle TN. Always enjoy you giving a great tour of this old bone yard. You have a great dialog. Saves me the time and money to see these jems in the rough. Keep up the good work. When I'm not wrenching on my toys, I'd rather watch your youtube videos instead watching TV!

The Buick GS California is a rare car in the sense it was very low production, but it was actually meant to be a low budget muscle car and is a sleeper.

The Studebaker 2-door sedan is a ‘55. The large chrome grille surround separates the ‘55.

That 57 Studebaker was really a 58 Studebaker Champion, but had the single headlamps with the quad pods....a step up from the Scotsman with the 57 style front fenders sans pods and single lamps.......very cool to see it and rare

The Hemi is a 331 ,Pre 1953 . I 've had a couple of those,the only disadvantage are the long block design but the heads flow better than the later ones with the water out lets on them .

Those old engine blocks if you set them up on the mill you can cut that bellhousing section off of their drill and tap it and they're like the later ones

As someone in New Jersey one of the most packed in states it amazes me that people find room to pack hundreds of cars into one space and do nothing with them I have issued finding a place to put three cars

Also that 52 Dodge Wayfarer is a pretty rare and desirable car. I found one that was going to be scrapped. But i wanted to make a lil hotrod. So i bought it fer 800 bucks and was taking it home with my cousin, and a old guy followed us jus to buy that car. He offered 11 grand fer the thing. So i said fuggit, why not? I didnt know what i had. But i got something from it back then. An keep in mind i was born in the 90s. But i grew up around junker loving gear heads and shifter freaks.

A real walk down memory lane. I grew up in the 40s, and was always around cars, and it was neat seeing such a large selection of them in one spot. That Dodge truck with the Hemi and the pilothouse cab, would my first choice to put back on the road. I wish that Comet would have been a little closer, I'd have jumped on it like a spider on a fly. I have a 67 big block Caliente convertible, and although it is a driver, I needed a donor car for the rear quarters and trim pieces before thinking about a restoration. . I am still kicking my butt, because I passed on a 67, 335 horse Caliente, 4 dr Hdtp. The car was pristine. I thought I didn't have the room for it, and now, I'd park it in the living room if I had to. They couldn't have made many with the high performance big block.

Four door Stude was a 1958 Champion. Wagon was a 1957. The 1955 2 door sedan used the same wheelbase and shell as a 4 door . That big vertical stainless strip hides the filler panel seam as they didn't make a 2door sedan quarter panel.

I hope the parts that guy got for that square body you mentioned were good. I had gotten parts from for a 79 GMC Jimmy I was getting rebuilt, and they were absolutely crap. My tailgate had one rounded corner on the top left, and the other side had an actual squared off corner. Didn't even match. Chinese parts.

Chrysler offset their drive train including the rear end to the right side an inch for steering gear and starter clearance

27:00..that's a '74 Nova sedan..the '73 doesn't have a bowtie in the center of the grill, the '74 does...27:10...'62 Chevy II Nova..'62 had that 1-year only grill...'63 and '64 had the more "eggcrate" looking grill, for the lack of a better term..I think the '62 grill looked better...27:53..yep, that's what I'm talking about..there's you '63-'64 Nova...29:19...that could possibly be a '47 Chevy truck, also..they made old/new body styles in '47, kind of like they did in '55...30:51...actually, that's a '58 Studebaker sedan...quite rare. Don't let the single lights fool you, they made both single and quads in '58 on them...look at those add-on wide headlight pods on the front fenders..'57's don't have those, and the headlight housings are less"wide" and "rounder"on the '57...and this car has the bigger '58 fins, also...35:19..'64 Mercury..oblong/oval tail lights..'63 were round...50:44..'47 or '48 Ford coupe..'46's had the rectangular parking lights above the grill...

Thank you young man for your videos I watch everything you post, I'm trying to find a 72 polara four-door custom police car,or a 1970-72 Ford Custom our galaxy police car body, that's why I'm always watching your videos, if you do happen to run into any of those could you please show a little more detail the speedometer will say either 140 certifiedv or 140 certified calibration, and the reason of being specific is that I live in Georgia and it would be a long drive for me I'm 64 but for the right car I would drive that far, again thank you young man I do appreciate you very much

Of the 50 Tuckers built - I think only three or four are not accounted for. It would be a huge find if there was one in an old salvage yard.

Only 1 is unaccounted for(not counting a couple of the bare leftover body shells)..that 1 is #1042..it, along with #1026, were the only 2 built with automatic transmissions. Someone has a transmission and a few other parts they say came from #1042, but I have never seen any proof or evidence offered to prove 1042 was the origin of those parts..for all we know, they could have been leftover parts from the factory or test chassis. The other Tuckers no longer with us are #1018, wrecked when it was almost new, #1023, lost in a warehouse fire in 1978, and #1027, wrecked when new testing at Indy race track. thus, #1042 is the only one truly unaccounted for...@@urbanurchin5930

Chevelles and Novas there make great parts cars. Ryan would dig the 59 Chevrolet. When’s the auction? Any 50s through 70s Chevrolets and Mopars are easily sold.

I think you don't appreciate what this country and people went through in the 40s and 50s. Just to survive. I personally buy american (as much as I can). I know things aren't all US made anymore, but this is history.
