Today I am trying to beat the massive snow storm that is approaching and I am out of wood to heat my home. Searching for wood dry enough to burn. Join me as I continue to build inventory for the next heating season here at Central Minnesota Firewood. Can I start and grow a business with $300? Will it work? I totally get the budget firewood theme you started with but if you break the budget it would be hard to go wrong with a PRO 70ish cc saw from either Stihl or Husqvarna sporting a 20-24" b&c.😉 both offer 3 lines of saws homeowner, farmnranch and PRO lines of saws.

Looks like a dead elm to me. Check that spot for morel mushrooms during mushroom season!

Did the first one have the little rollercoaster track tunnels from the ash borer? If not I agree w the 1st comment, likely elm. I started w my dad's homelite 360pro and a super xl. Both were just too heavy. Got a wild thing, was good for trimming and small trees. That totally crapped out so got another poulan. Don't remember model, twas bigger and yellow/black. Total turd. That's when I got my 450 Husqvarna. ❤ It. After having logging done got 352 echo for cutting tops. After watching YT wood guys decided to get holzforma 372xp. Waste of $400. Locked up after not even 1 cord. Got Echo 590 to replace it after taking it to shop. Don't really care if I get it back or not. The 590 is quickly replacing the 450 as #1.

99% it was elm especially after splitting lol. All saws can be a pain in my experience, some just less than others. Tuning I feel is the best thing a guy can know and try learn on them. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on a few videos, I really appreciate it!

Tree could be an elm or a sad soft maple even, hard to tell on a video without looking at the leaves and side branches etc. Probably ash, bark falls off too easy to be maple

Your 5020 will do those 24-28" trees with a sharp chain😉what was the Stihl saw in yesterdays video 025 029? what is the correct answer for how much wood and how many saws does one need?😜

It's an MS180c, just a baby lol. I won that at a QDMA banquet about 10 years ago.
