I hear ya. Injured my back in the 1990s. Daily pain and 3-4x the recommended amount of over the counter pain killers ever since. Several stints of bed ridden for months at a stretch when I tweaked it. Oddly, sleeping in a camping hammock every night has been the biggest help so far.

One of the best things I’ve bought in a few years is an electric bed,always get a good position to sleep comfy and if the backs a bit stiff in the morning push a button to lift me up
