To facilitate an enjoyable shave away from the pleasantries of my bathroom, I have constructed a rudimentary 'outdoor shaving station' from left-over timber which allows me to enjoy the great outdoors as I take my shaves in the changing elements of the seasons.
Join me on my endeavour to enjoy a relaxing shave with a safety razor, bathed in the brilliant sunlight and warming heat of a spring-time afternoon.

Like you, I tend to prefer a heavier safety razor. I bought a lighter one recently for the travel bag - it took a fair bit of practice, without that helpful extra weight, to avoid drawing blood.

A nice and relaxing outdoor shave. I also like Trumper's Spanish Leather. Mine is in a (dark red) tube. Tubes are very handy, hygienic and best for traveling. Earlier I favoured natural hair brushes. In recent years artificial hair made such a huge progress that I am about to change my mind. Greetings from Switzerland. Patrick

Hi Patrick, I trust that you are well. I think Trumper's English Leather is possibly my favourite at the moment. I recently invested in the Trumper's balm in the same fragrance, which is also quite heavenly, a joy to shave. I'm definitely coming around to synthetic brushes, but still slightly favour my badger. I always need a striptic stick when I nick myself otherwise I bleed for ages. That Spanish leather sounds gorgeous. I'll have to give it a go.thanks for sharing
