This is a detailed review of the Outdoors RV 19MKS Titanium. This is a new floorplan, and a landmark design. So much of everything in such a compact footprint. This is my third Outdoors RV in the last 5 years, and so far I gotta say, this is my favorite by far.
I can go anywhere, and do anything with this home extension. Pack up and disappear. Off-grid, boondocking camping is a breeze.
My review says it all. It might be a long video, but if you are looking for something like this, or are interested in any Outdoors RV, you need to watch as I unveil some good, bad and everything in between.

Go buy a decent solar charge controller. 600 watts of solar divided by 12 volts = at least 50 amps. So you'll need a 50 amp or higher charge controller. A Victron will set you back around $300, but there are definitely less expensive options. I would actually spend the money and step up to a 100 amp controller in case you want to add a couple of extra panels and go to 1000 watts on the roof. You'll need some more battery capacity if you expand, as well. Honestly I would step it up into Lifepo4 batteries because you can use their entire charge capacity and cycle them for the next 20 years without issues. Great video.

Congrats on this new TT; Great frameless windows and the door window is extra big in comparison to most TT’s. Not into large travel trailers. Own a 2022 Grand Design XLS 22 mle total 26ft long. Our friends wanted us to see your vid, they’re taking delivery on this same exact model. Absolutely a tough and well build TT… Back to size; try to enjoy the simplicity of a smaller camper. That natural skylight is awesome.

Awesome trailer!! Just bought our first Outdoors RV. Love the quality and thoughfulness. Not just a production RV. Everything with a purpose! Our 2023 has the same pocket door with that hardware. The latch comes off so we had to reconnect it when we got it home. It looks like those need to be adjusted to allow smoother movement. Also have the same basic thermostat. I will upgrade that to a digital ($60 online). It’s a travel trailer, not perfect. But the ODs RV are closest I have seen.

In the future do you think you could replace the mattress with a regular queen size mattress? if you do any future videos would like to see the sleeper sofa in the extended position if possible. thank you enjoy your trailer.

Yes, the mattress does fold near the front. I may consider replacing the mattress at some stage, but the standard mattress is very good, so it would be a while. It's a 60x80 inch mattress. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have more questions

Oh that’s nice! Put the bikes inside and throw a quad in the back ;) They make a few nice gray quads! The KQ750 would fit with the tailgate closed. With such a high-end trailer the charge controller should be victron …..no question. Also, what is your thought about switching these fridges over to 12V? I’d rather sip the power off of the panels vs propane any day everyday.
@GOATbro_Australia
@GOATbro_Australia 6 ай бұрын
That would be good. I have never had issues with propane on this RV, and it consumes very little, so for me it's not really worth the expense, but I can see the advantages. Maybe overnight without sun, 12V may put some strain on batteries, but I think they are super efficient!

Great video. You always do such good overviews of each of the RVs ya'll have purchased. Agree 100% with the quality and Thompson's RV. They are top notch. Heck, we're driving from Texas due to their amazing reputation:-). Curious though - you mentioned the 25RDS being too big to get into places. We're going to do some off grid and National Parks, etc.... but we also have Grandkids that will likely come with us until they're grown. My point is, that it sounds like we're in a different phase than you guys and we're wanting a little more space for now. However I'm wondering, did the 25RDS keep you from getting into National Parks, State Parks or too long for the type of serious off grid ya'll do? Just wanting some more clarity around your statement. It will help us immensely make our decision.
@GOATbro_Australia
@GOATbro_Australia 8 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for the great note! Yes, the 31 ft length did limit me in both state and national parks. In some cases it was just a matter of the number of spaces a given park had for that length of trailer rather than not allowing it at all. It was something that could be worked around, but it was a limitation to be aware of. Also, for off grid, we tend to get into some pretty tight spots or into areas that were just risky with a larger trail. Again, its just about planning and knowing your limitations. The 25RDS was a great unit for sure. Hope that helps.

Your new RV is immaculate and concept, layout and construction. Something for your family to be proud of for sure! I have a question though, it looks like mabye you do not use a weight distribution hitch? Do experience Road sway or porpoising without one?
@GOATbro_Australia
@GOATbro_Australia 9 ай бұрын
For this size and weight of RV being pulled behind my heavy duty (Chevy 2500) truck, I don't use any sway or weight distribution hitch. I don't experience any sway or other issues even in very high cross wind situations. Tows like a dream! If I was towing with a light duty truck like a Tundra, 1500 or F-150, then yes, I would definitely run a weight distribution hitch.

It's really easily actually. We don't really think about it. Actually, it makes making the bed easy. Get up in the morning, put the bed up and your done. Back down at night. @@fit4ya1975 Well, the 2018-2021 Lances are much better than today's Lances. The ORV is much more robust. The quality of the materials is about the same. Both are great, but the ORV is much heavier-duty. And have better insulation values. Downsized from a 2295 Lance to a 19MKS & the ORV is 3' shorter but much more roomy. Taller ceiling. Sorry I did not cover the underbelly very well. It is completely sealed and insulated so there is not much to see underneath. Yes the sidewall construction is aluminum framing, I believe 2 inch thick walls. I am not sure on the details of the AC. With the Titanium package I believe it is a higher rated AC, but I just don't have those details. Outdoors RV custom designs and builds each frame specific for each model. This is one of their strong selling points. If you contact Outdoors RV directly with questions, they will get back to you pretty quickly and they can provide you with the information and details you are looking for. Hope that helps! No regrets at all. I really like this RV. There are plenty of people that might not like the bed/dinette arrangement, but it works for us. Nothing has broken or failed, and it has delivered on the goal of getting into smaller RV spots and off-grid, hard to reach spots. I found a great solution to give me better status of solar charging and panel status as well. I am going to produce an update video very soon to point out more lessons learned about this trailer. @@derykcampbell8508 I like them a lot better. For one, with traditional sliders I have always had problems with seals falling out of the frames. Also, these windows open and close way more reliably and smoother, and finally, yes the air flow is roughly the same. In this RV the fantastic fans in the roof also contribute to really great airflow. I will always go with frameless windows with any future RV purchase. Hope that helps.

That is a good question. I think for full time RV life, you would feel a bit cramped in the 19MKS. If that life included a lot of backcountry, off-grid camping in hard to get to places, you could make it work. If I was full time and mostly staying in RV parks, I would go with something bigger. Just make sure you have lots of storage, a good size bathroom and shower and plenty of kitchen counter space as key criteria. My 25RDS would have been ok for full time, and there are other really good options around that size RV. Hope that helps.

Thats alot of weight, 5650 lbs dry weight for an off road? Thats a 1000 lbs heavier than most trailers this size. Nothing compares to a slide out on an Outdoors? Thats a Schwinntek slide out, standard equipment on 90% of trailers sold. Nice trailer though, and the price is decent.

The make their own frames, not Lippert so you don’t have to worry about frame flex or buckling. 👍🏽😎

@ericpiche2999 Northwoods ORV is built for the backcountry. Heavy frame to mitigate twist and bending when going off grid, thru potholes, etc. ORV puts up with abuse. Cabinets are screwed, not stapled. Front cap seams are on the side, no driving rain to seep thru causing leaks, water and grey tanks oversized. Roof ladder is strong, not wimpy. Walk on this roof without hesitation. Heavy duty Max fans are strong and excellent for moving air through the interior, even though the ac also works great. Onan generator built-in! Nobody wants a light weight TT if their rig can handle the weight. Smaller heavy TT much better than larger light weight TT that doesn’t hold value. These TT are always in demand, well worth the cost! Titanium version is the elite, but does add more weight. If you can’t do the weight, go lighter without the Titanium.
