Like, I don't hate Pope and Kie as a "couple", I just think it came out of nowhere. The creators didn't explore it enough. Maybe it it had happened some episodes before, maybe I would like it a little more. But as she said, one day Kie's harshly turning him down saying it's never gonna happen, and the next day, right after John B left, they're all emotional and shit, and Kie kisses him. Like, to me it was just an "in the heat of the moment" thing. One of my theories, is that Kie liked John B romantically, she just turned him down when he kissed her 'cus she didn't want to break the "no pogue on pogue macking" rule not to ruin the friendship they had and 'cus she thought it was another "in the heat of the moment" thing. And probably another reason for her to get so mad at John B for dating Sarah was that she actually liked him, and she just couldn't accept the fact that her crush was dating her worst enemy, in my opinion. So, to me, either she wasn't over John B, and "used" Pope as a confort, even though I don't think Kie would do that, or it was just in the heat of the moment. They were all sad, there was this really heavy vibe in the air, and when you notice they're kissing. I honestly don't think Kie likes Pope the way he likes her, so to me we'll find out in season two that they decided to be just friends, and that whole thing was like a summer fling. And I'm just gonna be honest with ya'll, I think Kie shouldn't have kissed him. She clearly doesn't like him that way. You don't change your feelings for someone overnight. She's kinda playing with his feelings, if she doesn't feel the same way about him, and that's pretty messed up. Pope deserves someone who actually loves him, the way he loves Kie. I wanna see Pope get a girlfriend in season 2. I think people want kie and JJ together because they have a lot of chemistry and in I think it was ep 3, she asks John B if he told JJ about their kiss and the way she says it... its confusing haha Also.. I didn't see that kiss with pope and Kie coming. Kie never let show that she liked Pope like that and I didn't pick up on Pope liking her until he said so. Just in watching Outerbanks again I saw what they were trying to do... but I think it was too subtle... I think the best part of the ending was that it’s a cliffhanger in multiple stages for multiple characters. It’s devastating bc they don’t know John b and Sarah are alive. I think JJ is going to become super mental unhinged at loosing John B. You have the potential justice possibilities for the murders. You have the fallout of relationships. The boat is destroyed so JJs dad def going to kill him. There’s probably worse bad guys in the Bahamas bc like who sent those two bad guys from earlier? I’m PUMPED.

Kiera is obviously interested in JJ. She asked John B in Ep. 2 if he told JJ about their kiss. She never once seemed interested in Pope. That kiss looked out of symphony and maybe is just with him to not hurt his feelings. It's a one sided relationship. The guy almost killed someone. Everytime JJ did that? He always held back. But confused too as to why Kiera would want to be with someone she doesn't have feelings for. They'll explore that in Season 2 I think. And JJ/Kiera will finally be a thing. It'll probably be a 2 season build into that very moment. Pope I never liked. He just seemed like a baby all the time.
