In this video series I am sharing Outfit inspiration for plus size apple shapes | How to build an outfit
As a personal stylist and as a fellow plus size apple shape, I know what it feels like to feel non-represented and un-seen in the fashion world. Us plus apples are often not included on the fashion map so I am doing my bit to change that by sharing what real outfits actually looks like and by taking you through the process of shopping your own closet. I am talking you through the outfits and giving you tips and tricks along the way on how best to dress our apple shaped bodies.

Oh my you just said the exact words I tell my mother. I buy her beautiful pieces and she saves them for good. But in 80 years old she doesn't go places to wear them for good. So I tried to convince her to dress beautifully just for herself. Hopefully if she has beautiful pieces on she feels beautiful in loved

I wear my 'good' clothes to go shopping, to go to the doctor, to the clinic cause you never know if there will be a tomorrow!! "Live your life as if it is your last day" and enjoy every second of it, sweeties. It sounds harsh but it's the truth! - Marleentje's, sadly the black waistcoat is open under the forearms, that is not good! - The white trousers with the denim shirt = FAB!! Interesting video. Personally as an apple shape i prefer straight leg pants to show of my fairly lean legs. I feel that wide leg trousers make us look larger.

Hi Marlene. Great video. I’ve just bought a beautiful pair of white wide leg crepe trousers from marks and Spencer’s and was absolutely stuck how to wear them. I love them but haven’t taken them out of my wardrobe as was struggling to style. The denim shirt looked beautiful with the trousers. The lemon stripey top looks beautiful on you. Any advice on where the trousers should break on the bottom? I’m quite short, 5’ 4” , and while I adore a wide leg trouser it can quickly look overwhelming on me.

Maybe a straighter pair will work better for you than the wide leg hun, trial and error. Personally I like when my trousers hit just above the floor without hitting the floor but it’s much a personal preference. With a wide leg I personally think you need floor length (your legs will look longer) but the ankle grazers are also a hit with many so honestly try different lengths and see what you prefer x

I know it’s very fashionable to wear tops tucked in on front,however it’s not for me as I have a high tummy and feel tucking in the tops overemphasis’s the size of my tummy. Fashion or not I think it’s better not to add more bulk to the front. The rule of third does not work on apple shapes either,it just cuts you in two
