Operation
Ground Coffee
Fill portafilter with 3g-5g of coffee to 80% full
Tamp down with scoop
Attache tightly to prevent leaks
Fill reservoir to 50ml to 80ml
Nespresso Pod
Place pod in adapter and attach tightly to prevent leaks
Fill reservoir to 50ml to 80ml
Cold Water
Press and hold button for 2-seconds. It will beep and start heating. Once the water is hot the pump will start
Hot Water
Press and hold button for 5-seconds, or double-click to start extraction
Pump will begin

I did camp coffee on the stove because I am home alone and don't want to waste a paper filter for one cup. I cheated a bit by pouring the coffee through a stainless mesh filter that my sister gifted me the last time that my electric drip machine died. Proof that she loves me! 😋 That Nano unit is a quirky way to impress fellow campers and would make an unusual and unique gift for the coffee lover!

Obviously, this isn't for a through hike, but there are many camping experiences, where weight is not the primary concern. Either because the distance to a base camp is not that far, or you have pack animals. Having a good espresso at base camp is nice, and the size looks like it would fit in a typical large water bottle container. Coffee at base camp is almost a must, and having options on the type of coffee is always good. When you are already bringing in battery packs, the weight of this is nothing.

Nicely done, Mark. I'm in favor of multiple coffee contraptions and options. That being said I see this - for my purpose anyway - as "double redundant" considering I"ll always be carrying a pot or cup plus some means of heating, etc etc. This would be great for a standalone vehicle solution for side of the road moments, when I'm not interested in setting up a stove. Have grinder, will travel!

Just adding if I were to go the "maximize" route and carry extra weight for coffee, I'd bring my Timemore C3 grinder with the folding handle to pair with the beloved Aeropress. Freshly ground beans, especially for overnight trips, add a great deal of satisfaction to my coffee guzzling.

A 7500mAh built in battery and a USB-C quick charge cable come with it, should last years and years if you're using hot water with it.

I haven't had nearly as many coffee makers as you have tried. I usually go back to my old pore over filter or if I have the extra time to watch I use my old percolator I've had for 30 years

Thanks for the review Mark, I probably won't take it in the woods, due to size and weight. I am an hvac service technician and am on the road all day. I am thinking about getting it to make espresso during the day in my service truck, because like you I need and enjoy a great tasting cup of Java through out the day. Cheers my friend ☕️😊

I am spending a week in Nova Scotia this summer. Our place is a seaside cabin on the Northumberland Strait. This would be very convenient for my morning caffeine fix. I am curious to find out what type of rechargeable battery the company is using. The website is not clear on this point.

Nice try Mark. Pretty slick little machine for the purists, but you’re not getting me to go back to coffee. Yeah, it would make an awesome car camper tool for people like us that have to sit on our sleeping bags to make room in the car. Since it’s green, I’m a little surprised there isn’t a piece of paracord on it. 😀

G'day Mark, does it come in brass, looks like a small artillery shell, ...... shoulda called it the NATO ; ) As an espesso lover I'd certainly take it picnicing/day trip in the car. And no probs with fire bans or wet wood. Can you carry it pre-loaded with water ? Cheers Duke.
