Nice AC44CM rebuilds from CSX front unit & mid-DPU & it was so cool that the train stopped right on the railroad crossing, and thats the first time i heard of outlawed trains cool.

Running longer trains does have some disadvantages...you can block some level crossings at once ! BUT one Train replaces 300 heavy lorries !

0:59 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Polfret, New York on 15 November 2021. We are awaiting the arrival of CSX train #Q368. At 1:00 we hear the CSX defect detector at Mile Post 49.4 report on your scanner that there are no defects on the train (Q368) that is on track #2. There were 784 axels on this train and its speed was 53 Mile Per Hour. At 2:51 a mid-train DPU appears. At 4:19 the train stops and blocks the Berry Road crossing. The train is more than likely blocking the Van Buren Road crossing which is the next crossing east of Berry Road. The train is also blocking the Lake Road crossing which is crossing to the west of Berry Road. At 7:05 the train starts to move. At 9:10 a former Chicago & North Western Railroad green covered hopper car appeared. It now has RCPE reporting marks. At 11:40 the train clears the Berry Road crossing. The reason this train had stopped blocking the three crossings was because the crew was being outlawed. This means that the crew had reached the limit of the time that they are allowed to be on duty before they have to take a break. If my calculations are correct, there are 193 cars on this train. 12:31 It is night time on 15 November 2021 and CSX train #Q368 has been re-crewed and is on the move again. The previous crew ran out of hours to work and a new crew had to be called and brought to where the train was stopped before the train could be on the move again. We are at the CSX Middle Road crossing on the east side of Dunkirk, New York as the train heads east on its way to Buffalo and its destination at Selkirk, New York. At 14:54 CSX train #Q368 knocks down the signal for track #2 on the Control Point 37 signal bridge. AT 15:29 we hear the sound of the mid-train DPU approaching and at 15:36 the mid-train DPU comes into view. At 20:23 the lights on the Control Point 37 signal bridge go dark. You then zoom back to a normal view. 20:35 We are at the Mile Post 41 curve on 6 October 2021looking at CSX train #I008 coming around the Mile Post 41 curve fromthe west. The engineer gives you a horn salute. At 22:02 the train disappears from view on its way up teh west end of the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York. 22:22 Your outro beginas as this train video is coming to an end. I have a couple of questions about CSX train #Q368 on 15 November 2021: 1. Where did CSX park this train when the crew was outlawed? Did CSX put the train on the elevated tracks through Dunirk, New York whenthe crew was outlawed in order to keep the train from fauling any railroad crossings? 2. Where did the relief crew come from and how long did it take before the train moved on its way to Selkirk, New York? Thank you for waiting around for this train to be re-crewed so that you could capture it as it left Dunkirk, New York to go to Selkirk, New York. The shifted lumber may have generated a "wide load" report from the detector which would result in the train stopping and then being told to move ahead to clear the crossings.

Great video. Can't they find a siding off the mainline tracks to stop an outlawed train ? Stopping on the main travel track is akin to parking my car on the travel lane of a highway. It just doesn't sound correct.

i'll tell ya` the rules for outlawing are stupid being kind!! almost liberal level stupid!! he had what 8 miles to make the yard! they ought to at least be able to keep going until the next yard!! and i think that was just a paint blister not a crack! sounds like someone would enjoy a trip to steamtown down in Scranton they run excursions spring through fall!!
