Making a natural stone sink was much less challenging than I originally thought. With a simple angle grinder, the right blades, and some elbow grease, the results were fantastic!

@timshipman9113 I'd like to say I agree either comment 100%. The witness of this man's world ethics are so honouring of our Lord God and Saviour. It's in our works that the unsaved see the difference of those who are humble obedient servants of Almighty God and those who know Him not. How blessed am I as a daughter of Christ to witness this incredible commitment to Godly attitude and aptitude. In a world that screams out for instant gratification of the me me me, it is soothing to the mind and Spirit to watch a man investing the time to make the effort shine like a diamond. May Gods abundant love grace mercy and joy be upon this man and his wife, their daughter, and family and friends. Amen 🇦🇺🤗🙏💞✌️👍👏👏👏🇨🇦

Being an archeology fan,, and in particular Roman Britain, your small square pieces of stone from your cutting waste look exactly like tessera from a Roman mosaic floor. The process for making tessera is nearly identical to when you used a chisel to break the squares out of the stone. The difference is only that tessera are normally cubes of that size. So each of your small columns broken out would make approx. two tessera cubes. I hope you saved every piece. What you could do with them and diamond grinders,, could be amazing.

I really miss your Dad. Though you never featured him or made him talk to the camera... He was always there with a hand and probably some words you'll never forget. I lost my father 2 years ago yesterday. I miss him very much. Rewatching your older videos, and catching a glimpse of your dad handing you something, or working the saw in the background brings back a lot of fond and unfortunately unrecorded events. You're very lucky to have that, and the b rolls. They're never far away even when they're not close to hand. Safe home Outsider. Safe home.

My log home is finally finished after a year and a half. The kitchen countertops arrive today and my wife and I are thrilled. great way to find level on a project like this is to put the stone in a big flat bottom trough and fill it with water to the point you want your rim to start. Draw your level mark, do your carving and it'll sit solid without lots of shims or wiggling on it's pedestal. What a great looking sink. Absolutely worth the time it took finding that stone waiting for you.

I did the same thing a few years ago with a lump of granite I hauled out of the forest (that was horrible!) to make a bird bath. I only had a 4.5" grinder so it took a while but the result is great just like yours. I love how it looks in your cabin bathroom. It's great how cheap diamond tools have become for these kind of projects, there's a lot you can do with stone. I did once toy with an idea of making a sort of cheap stone lathe (to make the outside round for example) using a turntable and an angle grinder with a cup attachment, I might revisit that one day.

Your cabin is so beautiful. Iv'e not seen anything of it yet, but I love the large eaves over the door I presume you've the same in the other side. Such good thinking the snow falls off the sides instead at your door like the house we bought depositing the snow right at our doors [ a pressure purchase & I was blind ]. I'm always a bit freaked out by grinders, I don't think people understand how dangerous they can be, but you're doing a amazing jobs handling it on this lovely stone. I think I would save a dozen or so of the dentil bits @5:24 they seem worth a save just for your effort in cutting them, not certain what I'd do with them, exactly, but I love stones and rocks, perhaps use them for something close to the sink you're working on. Ok, now I'm off to watch the rest of your craft, glad to have found you, thank you for sharing. Mia.
