Traxxas says the plastic the Maxx is made of doesn't get as brittle as other plastics in the cold. Lets test that!
By the way, I know it sounds like I was TRYING to break the Maxx in the video. I just worded it poorly. I wasn't trying to break the Maxx really, just seeing if it would hold up in the cold.

Wow, I got cold by watching the Video 🥶 That thing took an absolute beating from you and took it and took it. When finally the upper front arm broke it because of a really bad hit on the unfortunate landing. Can't fault it for that. Thanks for showing us and being in the cold. Stay warm and bash on! 😘

I got a rustler 4x4 vxl and I’m from Michigan rn I’ve been driving in like 10 to 15° weather sometimes and it seems to take it for the most part but I’m not as hard on it

Got me a axe edition gen 8 and bam 2.5 feet of snow. Then 6 inches then 5 inches now we got 6.5 on the way as we speak and more for the week on the schedule. Shit sucks.

Definitely stock Maxx is the way to go for bashing. The geometry is on the money for stunts and air control. I recommend install a widemaxx kit only if the person does not have an EREVO.

Awesome jumps! I took my Maxx out in the snow last week. Was about 26 degrees. Unfortunately I broke a rear driveshaft in less than 5 minutes when I tried doing a donut. Luckily my local HobbyTown had several in stock and they're only $7 each.

That's a nice launch ramp. Go far as opposed to going high. Like it a lot! I have a Maxx and this thing is pretty close to indestructible. I've done some crazy things with it and only broken one top arm like yours. Had it since August.

I had my erevo 2.0 out in 20deg temps and ended up breaking my wheelie bar,front bumper mount,the esc fan shroud and cracked the body all in about 30min. I take it a little easier in cold weather now.

Good driving and jumping. Though I'm not a fan of these durability test, as toughness will be clear during normal driving/bashing. I don't like destroying things on purpose. Still, good video!

Well, I dont really do durability tests. This was something special because its supposed to be able to handle cold temperatures and I wanted to see how true that was. If you notice, I've never done a durability test on an RC like this. I've only tested parts. You know I dont destroy my RC's on purpose. Did you notice that when it broke, that I was done? I didnt keep driving it and running it into the ground. I wasn't trying to destroy it.

It got down to single digits here in Texas. Took my Erevo out for a blast in the snow and did some donuts on top of my frozen pool. :)

The new widemaxx includes extended widemaxx driveshafts. Just the outer half shaft part.

I've got the same thing going on , can't do anything with all my stuff , it's to cold and a bunch of snow , but I just compleated my RC max raminator build and I'm thinks ng I'll use it to clear the snow off my yard , little more fun than the snow blower 🤣 I put on the wide kit a year or so ago and it's all still good , I put the steel shafts on it , but I went with the Seahawks green n blue theme , matches team colors perfectly !!

Great video as usual! Love my Maxx. The abuse I put my Maxx through especially yesterday would definitely destroy other branded RC cars I won't name. It's just insane how durable it is. I might buy some LP Trencher tires. Apparently it handles about as good as a Widemaxx without as much rollovers you get stock. The stock tires are simply too soft for high speed stuff

FYI my 1/10 scale E Revo survived a day in the Utah snow. My daughters 3 week old 1/16 E revo servo did not survive the snow.

The new version of wide maxx kit comes with extended outer axles that fit right over the stock ones it’s perfect cause they slide over much more and keeps them from twisting....

I have to jumps my maxx or my other rig in extreme cold every winter in canada, after few mods, now the maxx really hold well, except that i still crack the bulkheads sometimes, don't know how to make the bulkheads stronger with out upgrading to aluminium bulkhead, also don't want to make it any more heavier, that's why i didn't upgrade to aluminium bulkhead.

Hey man if you ever wonder why your gopro footage doesnt look as good as you would like its because your sd card is bad. I had the same issue. If you get the sandisk extreme plus it will work much better! Hope this helps

I’m running my maxx with erevo paddle tires here in Canada. It’s impossible to run an RC on snow here without paddle. The maxx works fine with some WD40 applied to the body and arms but the worst thing is the lipos that don’t like cold weather (-15 and below celsius), they last almost half as usually on summer!

Hey bud just saw a video about the wide maxx kit getting an update,extended outer driveshafts, which probably means you can just buy a set online independent of the kit. No more steel driveshafts required (hopefully).

I would love to see how far you could get the Typhon 6s. I got mine 91ft out the box before I nosed it. Still waiting on parts for the next try. I loved the video on the maxx. I got mine about the same distance and it was awesome. I will make a video soon to show. I'm new to the KZfaq channel and didn't make videos till 2 months ago . Lol no. I didnt mean for it to fall down like that as a ramp. That was not planned. The shed was in such bad shape that insurance companies would not insure my house. I needed to take it down.
