@@Ziggopotamusyes he did, he made people laugh, gave them light in dark times and that’s a whole lot more than many people can say of themselves. Is he a heart surgeon? No… but that doesn’t mean he contributed nothing.

Imagine having supportive parents
@SunlightGwyn
@SunlightGwyn 11 ай бұрын
Part of being a good parent is knowing when to be supportive and when to be instructive. A good parent doesn’t just go along with whatever the kid wants to do. If the kid has drive and wants to go into something productive and healthy, then sure, being supportive is the way to go. But if a kid thinks they should drop out of school at 15 and chase a singing career or go on a road trip through Europe with their friends, a parent may say no and that’s perfectly understandable and their prerogative.

“As a mother, you can’t ask me to tell you to give up on your dream.” That’s right. Moms are there to support and encourage the hopes and dreams of our children, even if their dreams may seem crazy or unattainable. Good for his mom and her great intuition 👍🏼👍🏼

Sorry, but tell that to the woman who moved to Hollywood when she was 18 and she’s been waiting tables for the past 18 years and is just as talented as any A lister out there. She’s been trying to get acting work every single day but only a few parts have ever come her way. That is how a majority of people’s lives have worked out who’ve followed their dreams

If he lived in New York, he probably did not have a car. Regardless, maybe they just have a very supporting family like that.
@nessy9022
@nessy9022 11 ай бұрын
@@madeinmexico47 It wasn't the supportiveness that struck me. Supportiveness can come in many forms, he could have asked to borrow money to catch a bus or a plane, he could have asked them to buy him tickets even or given money to rent a car or U-Haul or whatever. He could have even asked if she could pick him up. Supportiveness like that isn't that unusual in that class, but that's not what he did, and that's not what struck me. What struck me was a 25 year old "telling", NOT asking, his mum, to put her life aside, to get in a car, to drive a 400 mile round trip to pick him up. What struck me had nothing to do with their supportiveness, but everything to do with his sense of entitlement.
