Ovens Rocky Mountain Bushcraft

Ovens Rocky Mountain Bushcraft

Күн бұрын

Caught between seasons, Greg and Finn battle the snowy backroads and half-frozen waters of the Rocky Mountains, facing multiple setbacks, looking for a fishing spot where they can set up camp and catch dinner.
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

I started watching during your earliest videos, but I recently showed your content to my mother, and she absolutely adores it and loves who you are, and also wanted me to let you know how much we appreciate you. Given my current circumstances, this seemed the best way I could do so. Love you, man, keep doing you, whatever that may be! ❤👍

I hope it warms up for you soon. For me, too. It snowed yesterday and a cold 40 degree (4.4 celsius) rain today. Anxious for 60's and 70's. Hotter than that, however, us northern Michiganders tend to melt. Love on that beautiful dog for me, and thank you for showing everyone valuable and sensible life lessons. Would love to see you come to the Porcupine Mountains in Upper Michigan. September (color season and no bugs) is the best time.

Ice...No problem...Have aluminum cutter ice breaker craft. 🙂 And now I can fish..... LOVE THIS VIDEO.!!! Did the same thing in northern Minnesota on a small 1,000 acres lake. We were trolling in a fiberglass flat bottom boat for crappies. Pushed out from dock, went straight north and cut the ice lake in half. Next day, mild 20 mph wind gusts blew all the ice off (called ice out) into hand-sized ice cubes on the south side of the lake. Taking out my dock...can you say instant karma?!! The fish Gods won.! 2 months, I couldn't get out to retrieve the bass boat until I replaced the dock in hip weighters, in freezing water with clay base. My boots stuck...up to my chin in cattails, sneezing, and laughing. I had brought a friend up from the cities who fished and had never seen ice out before. He was blown away. Thanks for memories, Greg... Be safe in the cold waters. Life vests always recommended. Dave+Ly
