Whatever's going on in the world, nothing helps me relax more than sitting back on the porch, picking some slow, meandering blues. One of my favorite guitars to take outside & kick back with is my new P20E Parlor guitar from ‪@prsguitars‬ It's got that down-home bluesy tone, and is compact enough to be comfortable anywhere.

The thing I love about this channel is the breadth of experience that you can cull from it. If you just look at this video, you fall into the typical youtube keyboard warrior trap: if I had an elite PRS guitar, the right amp, and all those pedals...then I could be a tone-master blues guru. But if you've followed this channel for any length to time, you know Justin could do the same with some string taped over a toilet seat.

I get what you are saying, but isn't this a PRS SE anyway? It sounds great and obviously he is killing it (like he does any other thing with strings), but I wouldn't really call this an elite guitar. Also I don't see anyone saying they could do this. It looks to me like it is 100% praise and appreciation. So I'm just curious -- why bring the negativity?

I don't think there's many serious guitar players saying that lol not the ones playing long enough to understand where the tone master blues guru sound comes from anyway.

You all are taking what I said a bit too seriously. I wasn't addressing anyone or anything specifically. I just meant that when you browse youtube for stringed instrument videos--whether it is guitar, or ukulele, or mandolin--gear is often highlighted. However, when you watch videos published by people like Justin or Jack Broadbent, you become aware that the gear is an afterthought and not essential.

How lucky am I to be alive in a time when I’m given the opportunity to watch a modern master of guitar play close up. View his fingerings, techniques and listen to incredible instruments thru top of the line audio equipment. How much would it be worth to go back in time and be afforded the chance to sit this close to Son House or Robert Johnson. This old dying gray beard has listened to a lot of em come and go, and you young fella are as good as they come. BRAVO Thanks for being you and letting me watch.

Lindsey, the very very best technical guitarists are alive right now! Justin is a rarity because he’s got soul - so many don’t. It’s the “Gilmore syndrome “. Dave wasn’t a shredder or technical master - but he was one of the best ever! I see a lot of technical prowess, but not a lot of soul, these days. Just say’n, one dying grey beard to another - lol! I am always seeing people praising this guy and honestly he is not that great of a player, his vibrato is very amateurish and playing in general is very amateurish idk why people think he’s so great, I guess it really boils down to the fact that there are no actual real guitar players left so they cling to someone who is mediocre at best, sad state we’re in

I've always said, "when I play my guitar, piano or which ever - that it's the best therapy there is" .....I still believe that..... but, now I must add that watching and listening to these fine, awesome tunes; I ap relaxed and nothing else is on my mind but these beautiful acoustic jazz tunes !! Thanks for sharing J. Johnson !!

Awesome as always, Justin. Love your pure childlike enthusiasm when reviewing a new guitar...be it a CBG or a $16K French high tech custom. Thanks for sharing your love of music with us...no matter from which instrument it emanates. You are the pandemic quarantine antidote! 🎩

Thanks Justin! Perfect fix for a shitty day ;) Always sending love your way! Wife and I (we're old timers, late 50's) look forward to your content. Some of the riffs here remind me of Lonnie Mack's Oreo Cookie Blues. Thanks again man, your music always makes a rainy day have sunshine :)

Wow, love this. Simple blues melody in the key of A-Flat with a continuous base line taken to an insane level of creativity and all in time. Could listen to Justin play all day long on an acoustic guitar. Very inspiring and helping me to be a better player just watching him.

It's awesome you also provide the tabs. I have bought too already: Blackwood Lullaby (very difficult for me, I have months of work, working everyday on it.) and the Case of Gone (Can't say more easy). Those things don't work if you don't put the right feeling, so the vid is a must to understand how it works. Once I will play those 2 correctly, at LOOKING AS RELAX AS YOU ;-), I'll be a better guitarist. Long life to blues, this is music. Thanks to be such a great inspiration for so many people following your channel.

Hey Justin! Thanks for all your music! This was the first video I watched from you a few months ago, and all that blues and videos have been really inspiring to watch. Sometimes I just hear a few minutes and I pause it, then I take my classic guitar and play and improvise and enjoy guitarplaying again! So thanks for that, man!
