Over the Waves - Pete Daily 1951
After his military sevice in World War Two, Daily formed his own Dixieland band "Pete Daily's Chicagoans" in 1946, based in California. This group was popular there for several years and recorded for Capitol records.. Pete Daily had a hard-driving yet lyrical style and he was always an asset on Dixieland dates. He still played actively during the seventies but after a stroke in 1979 he was forced to retire.
