By the grace of God and my girl…my now wife and I lived under the same roof for 16 months celibate. Definitely caused BIG frustration and would not recommend it! It was the only situation we had and God beautifully got us through it victoriously!! All glory to God. 🙌❤

The cohabitation part!! My fiancé and I are living together celibate and the struggle is real! I wasn’t in the faith at the time we were bf/gf and moved in, but later got very serious about it and I made the decision to be celibate. Finances with an upcoming wedding makes it hard to go back separate, but we have been faithful. I wish we never did though and don’t recommend it

@@crespeakslife I know you didn't ask me😅but I would interpret that as she either wasn't Christian at all or she was lukewarm about it, believing in God but not living like he tells us to in the word. ALOT of "Christians" are in the lukewarm pile. I once was too. Most of my friends and I were raised Catholic, but it was more or less just going to church on Sundays because we had to. We had no real relationship with God. We didn't know him. I started reading the bible in 2022 and essentially turned my whole life around. My turning points were when I read that God will not hear our prayers if we are unforgiving to those in our lives. Also, when I read Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiates, but especially James 1:22. I didn't want to be just a hearer and not a doer anymore. On top of the gratitude for what he brought me out of, I was finally all in and became born again. Then my wonderful boyfriend was delivered to me out of nowhere and he has been such a blessing. We are dating intentionally. We had both long been abstinent before we even met each other. We both do not believe in cohabitation before marriage. I have self-control but that would be running towards temptation for me, not fleeing from it lol. We are still very affectionate with good boundaries in place. Sorry for rambling when you didn't ask. I pray you have a blessed weekend!

My girlfriend, fiancée, and now wife lives together through each season. We started off on the wrong foot and we’re convicted and both decided we would be celibate until marriage. It wasn’t that tough after awhile because we both love God.

Tim you just gave me such peace….(well, God through you,but you get me.). You said you stopped using strong language because of how it was affecting the people whom you have relationships with…THAT, says more about your character and integrity to me than anything !!! I personally don’t have a problem with how you communicate cause I’m from the South Bronx, that’s regular convo, but being in Christ that has changed a lot… I’m an ambassador for Jesus so I know how I speak may offend others so Romans 14 comes to mind …this pod gives me more freedom to just be God’s Kid!!! The question on leaving the husband and the family saying she should stay. I feel her because I left my husband and he was narcissistic and my family wanted me to stay. They did not support and I have been gone for 2 1/2 years now and it is the best thing ever. It has been a struggle however I would rather be happy and broke then wealthy and miserable. I will be your support system and help you through this because it is hard when you have no one to help support you. The longer you stay the more you beat yourself down, so I hope you do not have to stay in that situation much longer.

I am loving this Pod too much. I wish I was in earlier to ask questions but it would be amazing if Tim could get someone on who could break down the origins for how we end up in Narcissistic relationships, how to make sure we break that curse of its affects on our family systems and how to deal with the Trauma and PTSD from long term narcissistic marriages. Im slowly coming out of a wilderness from a Divorce, two years no work, 9 months no home or my kids and I can see Gods hand through it all, I am however concerned about the long term effects this has because speak to so many people daily who are either in, or have barely survived these relationships.

Your family cant love you if they think its better for you to stay with the narcissist. I'm in a very similar position and I left my husband and the church. I had to find support as well with a family members that believed me and a therapist. God hates a hard heart too.
