This is the most accurate and honest video on mental health I've seen. I realise my go- to coping mechanism is to delve into dream world. I can fantasize, talk, laugh, create an alternate reality where anything is possible. I know that is a BAD COPING MECHANISM. But what are other bad coping mechanism? Please make a video on BAD COPING mechanisms! This needs to be talked about!

Hey about that alternate world i have seen several manifestation and positive affirmation videos and they say that no matter how bad our lives are we must create false scenarios and believe that these things are actually happening in real life, this will actually lead to our scenarios coming true. There are so many real life stories about the power of manifestation and it makes me feel positive too, but i feel that how can we be positive when everything is going wrong

Very true Astha!! Fake positivity and only happy thoughts will never address anxiety and depression. It worsens the problem as it is an avoidance mechanism First step to overcome anxiety and depression is through acceptance and taking action. Overcoming them takes time and one should be ready to dedicate time and be patient through the process of recovery.

Di mene aapki ye video aaj hi dekhi & I don't know but I'm dealing with the same problems. I do escape by day dreaming, music & mindlessly scrolling.... But the main thing is that now, I am not able to enjoy music I hate my life I wish my parents could notice my mental health. I'm 18 yrs old preparing for Neet exam..... & just as you said that it's a long process like steps getting into these thoughts which keep on adding one after another and makes khichdi in my mind.. I don't know what I'm saying but i actually hate my life It really hurts!!!!

Very well said. For me therapy really helped along with writing down whatever I'm feeling during that day. Exercise like regular walks help too and trying to remind yourself to take care of yourself by having your multivitamins etc.

Couple of years back I used to think, why would someone that have almost everything(materialistic) take such a bad decision? But, Now from last year or so, I have been following news & politics more, I feel some kind of sadness/depression/don't know the right word here to use. Slowly learned what this mental health is all about. I do not really give serious thoughts to these feelings, I know it could really pile up, if I just keep watching what's going on out there & think too much about everything. Change starts at Home. Finally, Decided to shut this whole thing down, stop watching too much news/politics, Invest in my self and work on things at hand. I know this is same as closing eyes, ignoring everything and pretending all is good. What else can we do? I don't know how many people share these kind of thoughts!

For someone who have suffered from depression and anxiety for 8+ years, please do not ignore your mental health, the cause is the main key which she has told which is different for everybody, for me which has helped me immensely was Ashwagandha and Vipassana meditation these two things were a blessing for my mental health, and the progress is never linear, you can fall into the dark pit again but slowly and slowly you will rise and get out of it, just keep going and remember you are much more powerful and stronger than you think.

Wonderful, its very rare that a person is confident enough to share their real journey wrt mental health. Even i was or still in self pity mode (it reduced significantly) sometimes. My method to deal with it is to make myself busy with some or other thing, such that i wont get time to think(actually overthink) even now ill get back to same mode when i listen to certain things or news, but have started journey towards betterment. I usually wont comment on any video but this video compelled me to, because i can realate to lot things that you are speaking about. Thanks for putting this out

Aaaaah wooow . Mera depresion journey yaad dila dia. I was a big overthinker too and i had lots and lots of bad time . I went through the numbers of susidal thoughts . But i literaly thank my life , my sircumstenses , and every this and that to gave me such a tuff time. It make me rise very very above . It made me something really really great. If anyone dipresd there reading this. Let me tell you . You will grow 1000 times biger. You will grow unexceptionally . Just stay calm ( i know its very eassy to say ) . But remember. #Aapkatimeaiga And dont forget ki jab life track me aajaega . Make changes (positive changes , work on your thought process) . Because you cant change alot . When you were in trouble. Same as you can't prepare for war during war. You had to prepare for war before a war. Otherwise you will keep preparing for war and enemy will conquer you Life is exceptionally complicated . So dont go think alot about it -shree Krishna But life is exceptionally beautifull . Work to make your soul calm and beautifull . Because at last you came to the world only with sole and you will go leave this world only with the sole . This propety , your body , even though your mom, dad are maya . (i went deep into spirtuality but i think so this will help some people ) Depresd peoples can comment me down . I can help you too . Lots of love and have a great time ahead .😊😊😊

When you talked abt how you want to accept that dark side of is, is when i related to u the most! It is a long n rather brave thing to admit n accept our flaws, and a quote from a psychology book of mine really helped me understand that - "How can I be substantial without casting a shadow? I must have a dark side too if I am to be whole; and by becoming conscious of my shadow I remember once more that I am human like any other" - Carl Jung. Hope this helps💖

Some time same thing happens with me specially when I watch some movies or about my future then to get rid of those thinking I use to distract my brain in thinking something else like something intellectual stuff like I started preparing for upsc and the subjects I were studying were awesome and it wow my mind so I indulge my brain into that then the rate of my overthinking declines slowly

@@joyeetaghosh2209 You will know, trust your instincts. Moreover, someone who is the 'correct person' wouldn't really show off or continuously lecture you to tell everything (especially your secrets). If they are genuinely interested in helping you, they will only ask thing's which are related to your problems, instead of asking everything (which they can use against you) . The best person to talk to, are the therapist (as they keep it confidential), if you don't like one, go to another, don't stick to one therapist. Hope that helps !

P.s - it took me 15 min to write and execute this cmnt waiting for it I genuinely needed it please
