Dr. Reinhart is currently the owner and lead chiropractor at Proactive Health and Wellness in Westerville. He will share how to thrive when the stress in our life overtakes our ability to adapt to it through his own personal experiences. Dr. Luke Reinhart is a 2006 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and currently is the owner and lead chiropractor at Proactive Health and Wellness in Westerville. He and his wife Cheryl have lived in Gahanna for the past 10 years, and have two sons Hudson and Owen.
Being both a small business owner and a father is often times an overwhelming responsibility. Dr. Reinhart will discuss a time in his life when he was stuck in a state of overwhelm, a new measurement that allowed him to measure his body’s response to the stresses in his life, and what he has learned from both his personal experiences and the experience of some of his colleagues on how to thrive when the stress in our life overtakes our ability to adapt to it. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Yes! We tend to drown ourselves in our questions, thoughts, tasks, to-do's and so many other things. And, the road to becoming "okay" or overcoming feeling overwhelmed is a direct impact on how we prioritize, set time goals and of course our mindset.

I understand this better now! Thank you for incorporating your faith. I know when I'm in fight/flight mode I pull in. Expressed faith should cause us to reach out and reach up!

I don’t mean to hate but I honestly don’t understand how so many comments are positive. This was 12 empty minutes to me. There was literaly not one new thought or helpful idea to me. It’s kinda like the video title declares there willl be solutions and tricks.. and the solution to not being overwhelmed is basicaly to not be overwhelmed… anyway. Love the guy, probably an awesome father. Thanks for trying

Thank you for not making waste my time, because if I wasted this 12 minutes and felt emptiness and pointless it would make me feel even worst. Hope all the people, you and I will reach the future we want in the most beautiful and peaceful way🪷.

I felt the same too. First four minutes were fluff. Sure added context but Ted talks are meant to be succinct and hook you right at the start. Then when he got to the meat of the what happens when there’s stress - how sympathetic and parasympathetic work with each other he ran like a 100 mph. Like it wasn’t important. Wish he had someone edit his content and timing

@nana-pi9xp it's not a waste of time. It's a reminder on how to manage our stress. Good tips. You just read one comment and run with it?!

I would have thought that most people watching this will already know what the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system is without giving another explanation of it.

Don't forget 'faith'. He spends 10 minutes explaining why stress is bad, then says 'do some exercise, talk to people and believe in God' and that's it. I'm more stressed out after watching the video than before, because now I'm reminded why it is so bad to be as stressed as I am right now and that my body is not meant to be in the state that I am in and will probably stay in for quite a while, and I don't have any solution.

What a waste of time. I didn’t get anything out of this, and I don’t understand the positive comments. What are the practical tools here for overcoming overwhelm? This guy just likes to hear himself talk.
