People pleasing has almost cost me my life!! Thank God for waking me up in time and showing me the truth that I was being used and taken for granted by the very ones I loved the most. I was taught that putting other people's needs was the "godly" thing to do, but Bishop RC Blakes has taught me the Order of Love, and now I know better. Love God first, then Self Love and then Others. Thanks, Pastor, for sharing your wisdom with women like me who didn't have a father to teach me differently. I've listened for four years and it has changed my LIFE!!! GOD BLESS YOU!🙏🏿

Many of us have suffered with people pleasing. We never knew what we was doing we was taught to be a "good" person not knowing we was people pleasing. Here it is 2024 and we are learning about people pleasing.

As a young girl I was consistently told by my dad that no one will like me or want to be around me.I wanted and needed my dad’s love so bad.Although I buried them deep,I realize his words and lack of affection shaped who I thought I needed to be to others.I’m in my 50’s and still struggle with boundaries and sacrificing my peace for others who don’t think twice about taking advantage of my caring nature.

If there's something I need to learn more. It's about people pleasing! Oh my goodness! I would pay to listen to this. I have been a people pleaser all my life and thinking about my way out gives me goosebumps. Am actually not just a people pleaser but also an addict. I please everyone else but me! As I listen to this I pray that God will deliver me and I will one day enjoy the freedom that comes with it. Thanks RC Blakes for bringing this up.

We need to know signs and what to do dealing with toxic people because they are everywhere. Family , friends , on the job, neighbors, intimate relationships, strangers, even in the church. Don’t be surprised someone don’t like you and gossip about you because they can’t use you any longer, tell them no, or you was a people pleaser you put ur foot down. A person can’t respect ur boundaries is a toxic person.

Thank you 🙏 My people pleasing personality ruined my life but by the grace of God I’m still alive and pushing forward. The Lord helped me through this difficult journey, finally showing me and teaching me how to say No. Now I love and care for myself, because I realized I’m bought by the blood🩸 my mistakes don’t define me but Jesus Christ is❤

Bishop thank you for loving us through our Christian walk ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾. It’s now been confirmed that I’m a people pleaser🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️!! I thought about this, it started as a child in my home and community; I was never the popular one .. not asked out or on prom, I always felt unseen😢!! Even now I haven’t dated a lot at 57 yrs. old. I desire to one day be married. But now I know it’s because potential suitors see the woman of God and the lady, I am . Which means the potential suitors have to come correct or not at all!! It was not because I’m not worthy or unseen 😇. Bishop after listening to the jewels you have given me today, I will speak up for myself and set boundaries;. No will be used in my vocabulary with everyone when needed!! Thank you Bishop for letting The Lord continually use you in such a marvelous way. You have truly enlightened us with great insight and wisdom for life’s journey. Bishop and Lady Lisa much love to both of you, and safe travels🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️.

So much energy I have wasted on people pleasing..always explaining myself is exhausting!!! Spent my whole life afraid to rock the boat and putting everyones needs first and leaving me out of the equation. Recently started making reading Gods word daily a priority so many years wasted on putting people first and God last. Regret it so much I could be so much farther along with my relationship with God if I would of put my priorities straight!!! Picking myself back up and making changes! Thank You for this video! Safe travels!!

I was a people pleaser for many years,to the point it practically broke me financially..I would put other people concerns before I dealt with my own businesses..Now that I'm no longer a people pleaser I get criticism from my friends as well as my family...Back then I had this man that had me feeling sorry for him,to the point that I practically gave him whatever he asked me for..until I finally realized that this man was not only using me but also makn a D fool out of me..I stayed in prayer with the Lord to remove this man from my presence and yes the Lord did answer my prayers ❤..even when it came to my family I was always giving whenever they asked for it or asked me to do something for them even when I didn't want to...I didn't want my family or friends getting upset with me, now I don't even care because when I need help or needed something I couldn't get anything from them, they came up with all types of lame excuses..Like the song *It takes a fool to learn that love don't love nobody*By the Spinners)thank u for speaking on this sermon 🙏🙏🙏something that I needed to hear.God bless u always

Good afternoon Bishop RC 5:06 Blakes. I have been a people pleaser basically all of my life. It has been out of the free of rejection, put down by others, disliked, abandoned, beaten or made to feel like there is something wrong with me. I was extremely mistreated as a child by my sister and brother. My mother and father were deceased. I have wronged myself and my sons trying to please others out of fear going against what they wanted or what they said was better for me. I have been in therapy off and on for years. I have come a long way but I am still pleasing people in a lot of ways. I still allow my self-worth to be based on people in some ways.

Hi from Annie, thanks for this very important talk. I have been a people pleaser since I was about 7yrs old and I will be 66 in couple weeks time.....I have done lots of soul searching for many years and notice that my adoptive mother was also a people pleaser to the extreme she really loved to help others etc.I was told that I was a dopted at 7yr old and from them was so very shock up and felt rejected, then felt not good enough etc. I started around that time to pleaser others to the max, parents teachers friends etc. I tried to be everything to everyone. I remember the first tithing I did was as a kid I started to jump up and be the first to offer a seat to an old lady and open the bus door for her and hold her bag or parcels for her etc, everyone thought it was cute and mum was so proud of me too. But mum died when I was 16 and I felt more rejection and loneliness and desperately wanted to be liked and loved started to do more people pleasing almost full time in fact. Never knew about boundaries only first heard of them about 17yrs ago when talking with a councillor Who gave me video and books to read about boundaries, it seemed so strange and foreign to me all that. I sort of got to understand it a bit and found it hard to say No and set boundaries. My generosity when over the normal I could not do enough for others, often it was not good for me to do that. I still kept tryn to please everyone. What you said is spot on, we need to put our selves first sometimes. I try to be more assertive most times and usually still give a reason for a no reply to others. One woman about 30yrs ago told me she had nothing left with her three kids so I just about emptied my house of things gave it to her, like a fool. Well couple yrs later I found out she had parents who had lots of money and gave her money and help all the time, I heard she had sold all the stuff I gave her, I did without to give to her such a fool I was. That was like a slp on the face never forgot it. I still help others etc but not to that extent. I am trying to put myself first still trying hard to do so as old habits always seems to jump out at you and you gotta catch them fast before they catch you it is tricky. So thatnk you again. Will listen to this a second time too.
