Be always on guard. The fight is never won until we die. I get the bad toughts and feel depressed because im alone. If i didnt follow God way i wouldnt have such a lonely life. This may not be patented advice, but I was in the same boat several years ago. I'd fornicated much and watched a lifetime's worth of pornography. It wasn't until I prayed consistently for around a months time, joined in prayer by my wife (who had the same affliction as me), that a breakthrough happened. Around the same time, me and my wife both realized that our sexual sins where our own, and no one else's. This sounds silly, but it brought us great healing. In acknowledging our sins as our own, we shed the mantle of "I wouldn't sin if X person didn't make me." If I succumb to lust (Lord forbid), no longer do I allow myself to say "Well, that woman was dressed scantily, so its partly her fault". It's really not her fault. She may bear her own sin, but my sin is my own. This revelation helped me to quit sexualizing women, simply for existing. God made beautiful women too, and He certainly didn't do it to inspire lust in us. Therefore, what had to change was me -- not them. If I couldn't so much be around a beautiful women with suffering temptation, it was I who was out of line, not them. Beautiful women exist too, and they're existence isn't sinful. We cannot allow ourselves to "share blame" with our temptations and lusts. We must bear them ourselves, before God. This concept of "my lusts are partially her sin too" was taught to me in Church, and reinforced throughout my life -- but I find it to be an erroneous teaching now. Once I, by the grace of God, deferred that thinking to "my lust are my own sins", they became much more manageable -- because no longer did everything in the world around me have to change, only I had to change. I'm unsure if this is helpful, but I will pray for you. May God have mercy on us. If I am in error in my current thinking, may God have mercy on me. Disclaimer: I certainly struggle with the concept that maybe I am wrong on this topic, because my thoughts on it are so far removed from mainline Christian opinions. And it almost feels "too easy" to resist lust, now that I've had this revelation. Which gives me an unsettling feeling. That being said; id much rather wrestle with my own philosophy and theology than wrestle with lust. God guide me, I pray.

In my case, it didn't matter if I was married or had a healthy marital relationship with my wife; I had been conditioned by 15+ years of pornography to view people as sexual objects. When you view people as inherently sexual, whether its their intentions to portray that or not, I find that you already have one foot over the "line" of lust.

I can say generally you are better off without sex. And I suppose one could call it "disgusting". So you have the urge but have a phobia of the act? Interesting. Don't worry it gets easier as you get older. It just doesn't matter so much.
