I love this version of Overhaul, after every charismatic response there's this little horrifying pause that shows he knows exactly what he's doing and its all an act, the fact that he never breaks character makes it all the more terrifying when he dusts Eri. "Pretty Dope, HUH?"

This is hysterical!!! I love the juxtaposition of tones - the underlying tone is incredibly dark with what they do to Eri, but Shigaraki and Overhaul are talking so casually like it's a typical business meeting where they are excited about a new product or something. This is so my humor!

I still don't get why they draw a line between gangs and "villains." The Yakuza doin' crazy supervillain stuff like this the whole arc. Is it a branding thing? Because the main difference I can see is Overhaul also has a profit margin.

That’s a good question. I was kinda under the impression that (at least in this universe) gangs tended towards lower visibility crimes while villains are all about that (Megamind voice) *PRESENTATION* and that it wasn’t until Overhaul took over that the Yakuza started dipping into villain territory.
