Overland Florida, We just spend a week on the road visiting family in Idaho, and the swinging through 4 national park starting in Idaho and working through Wyoming before heading back home to Colorado, was an amazing trip and was a proof of concept for use of the Expedition as a compact RV. Even made my father's 60th fourth of July birthday without a hitch, total time on the road was 36hrs or 1998 road miles due to all the road construction, but we didn't feel it and the stops along the way were just as awesome. We also got to drive one of the historic California/Oregon trail route, which was bucket list for me. I wish I had been able to video tape the entire journey but there was a malfunction with the camera, and was left with only pictures, still with it need to get camera repaired or replaced, but next time I think I will use have a second camera just in case and more memory cards available for the cell phones and cameras. All together we're some amazing sights an fun memories for everyone.

C Berkenbile I'm glad your father's birthday went smoothly! 1998 is a long road trip, I've done one that long. Well, 4 of them. It must have been cool to be on the Oregon trail.

Ever brought it north and done trails like the Ga. Traverse or Talladega over in Ala.? Or did you build it more as a kind of base camp trailer? We plan on a dual use trailer that can hit the trails as well as base camp.

wkmac2 It's more of a base camp trailer. My next trailer I'm having built will be 100 trail rated and a base camp as well.

My high lift only works on the rear bumper. But the real reason is to use it as a come along until I get a winch.

Night KrawlerJK it makes a big difference. But unfortunately some events charge $20 for primitive camping. That's a little steep for some uneven cow pasture.

@@OverlandFlorida I have no idea. But if I was making a video about my off-road rig,I sure wouldn't do it in a parking lot. I live in Calif. And spend a lot of time in the desert. I see all the so called overlanders, and half of them never touch dirt.
