I came across your film doc by accident - Thoroughly enjoying it - oh by the way the word is ''route'' not rowte'' a ''rowte''! A ''rowte'' is what you do to your enemy a ''route'' is the direction you take! If you are going to use our language, please do not massacre it !!! I have done 2 overland trips around Africa and found your film a delight to watch and thoroughly reminiscent of the trials a tribs of overland travel - Without trying to be patronising - well done mate !!!

Haha this must be the 10th travel show I’ve seen where foreigners come through BC to Alaska, where the entire province gets less then a minute of film or line of dialogue lol. “We entered BC and it’s so beautiful..... then we made it to WhiteHorse”

Been watching all these in a weird order but you guys are truly great humans. Never thought I'd find actual heroes on YT. Clay's voice over is Oscar worthy. Amazing video techniques throughout. Teeyotas rock everything. But overall your level of freedom true oldschool American freedom and respect comes thru thick. Thank You so inspirational.

"Blast you pop music" HAHA. I love this series. This will be my 4th time watching it. I'll be doing a similar trip starting at the end of June. Starting in BC and driving through the Yukon and ending up in Inuvik, NT. I can't wait! I've been planning a drive north for the past 6 years; this year will hopefully and FINALLY be the year it happens!

I just watch 9 episodes of your central america series and now this one. I love it. I used to hate people in big 4x4 roling around town but now I get it... you made me want to start small and learn and get out of my comfort zone. Thanks a lot! Note: you should check you levels when recording sound on location. Your off-screen voice is alot louder and it make for constant sound adjusting. Not much, but still there.

This part 3 is the reason we added going to McCarthy/ Kennicott to our 2015 Summer Journey to Alaska. We did eat at the Tailor Made Pizza bus, at that time they moved it from McCarthy to the other side of the river. Unfortunately I learned today they had gone out of business and a full restaurant has been built on their former lot, they had the best pizza in Alaska

Just wanted to add, do you all (or any of you) ever feel, how do I say this.... Connected to something? When you're out in the wilds, it's quiet and you get the knot in your throat because the experience is just so perfect...you feel as if you're connected to something, a part of something great? In my case it feels spiritual....

Hey Clay congrats on the show and I hope you guys stay safe first of all now to the cc lacks more action I think most of us overlanders do enjoy the history and characters associated with each trip but its not the main reason we do this if it was we would just have an RV I believe that overlanders are car guys with the travel bug we want to take that creepy looking road and see where it takes us man and machine against nature I would brake it down like this 60% driving adventures 20% views of crazy remote locations u almost dint make it to but it was worth it 10% about the history and characters encountered and the last 10% the personal stories of the crew to make us feel like part of the group but what do I know either way I will keep watching. I would encourage you to look at what has made Top Gear UK the biggest car tv show in the world (action action action laughter and more action) stay safe have fun hope to run into you guys some day cold ones on me. How did you outfit your vehicles to deal with the extra power requirements for your cameras, DIT gear, and sound equipment? Also, how did you capture such great sound? Was everyone on lavs and tuned into a mixer or did you go all cam mounted shotguns? This seems much too high quality to have been shot without an extra vehicle outfitted with production gear. I can see a lot of dropping off an operator, back tracking and turning around to get certain shots. Am I in the right ball park?

@hibakhan2231
@hibakhan2231 5 жыл бұрын
I know it's been 3 years but here's the deal. You start small and document everything. I mean, blog, Instagram, KZfaq, Facebook, everything there is. Once you have a pretty decent "fan-following", you'll start making some little bit of money. Then, start doing forums and website articles for websites and magazines of the niche. Then, you get sponsors and they either give you money, or supply equipment in exchange for advertisement. You have to be pretty consistent with the process. You can start with as little as being a weekend warrior and do it for a few months, pile up some decent content and start dishing it out at regular intervals.

AND IT PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!! DOOG- I MEAN- SHOOT- I DONT THINK I CAN AFFORD THE CAMERA, BUT I DID LIVE IN WV FOR A FEW YEARS BY THE RIVER, NO WATER ETC. IT JUST AGRAVATES ME.

Not to mention the vw 5.0l twin turbo diesel v10 beast. So by what your saying I’m guessing the vw’s the USA has have small engines cheaply made and unreliable. Well actually that’s because they are, Volkswagen BMW and landrover send the USA price cutted versions also know as rejected euro stock
