@@sagi3933 they usually are pretty good. Very few misses. There are 2 others that released along with the other songs but I don't remember them being used in overlord, Something w/o Sunrise and Stormy Glory. There's Cracked Black for the overlord mobile game as well

Tom-H@ck is also the guitarist/producer for both for both bands, sad that Mayu Maeshima left Myth & Roid back in 2017. Was happy she came back to do vocals for season 4's ED.

The third opening is definitely my favourite of the bunch, as it really gives off that villain sound. That one laugh helps a lot too, it brings up such a mix of reactions in me.

@@TheHeckOfficial Oh man now I accidentally went into a nostalgia trip, down my anime music folder, so this might get long. My first instinct would be one punch man, but it sounds as if you already have that covered. The band that made all of overlords OPs, except the third, is called Myth & Roid and have made several good numbers for anime. Most prominently for re:zero an Tanya the evil. The openings for Trigun, Cowboy beebop and black lagoon are counted among the classics of good anime music Both Bleach and Full metal alchemist is known to have several good openings (Bleach just have a lot of OPs in general) If want rock/metal, you cannot leave out Detroit metal city (it is literally a series about a metal band) Attack on Titan actually had their second opening, as number 1 on the US hard rock billboard. Others worth listening to are the openings from Parasythe, Aggressive Retsuko or aggretsuko, Kamen no maid guy, Murder princess. The series Panty and Stocking made an full 5 min music video, called "D city rock - We are angels" The music itself is pretty good, but the video itself is stuffed full of fun visual parodies and references to popular music, especially from the early 2000s, which just makes it fun to try and recognize all of them. One of my personal favorites, for pure chaotic energy, is the ending to "so I'm a spider, so what?" The sheer energy the singer puts out and the several shifts in genre makes it absolutely hilarious.

Season 4 is the best overlord opening they've done so far. Dangle, has an amazing English cover of the song. You should look up the full version of hallow hunger, it's really good.

I've liked all the openings so far but 3 definitely sticks out the most! I love the industrial feel of it, they really captured the feeling of an evil army.

I know it's late but at around 6:25 Billy Talent got mentioned and I can't ignore it It's my favourite "obscure" band that every song of theirs is a story. Making it kind of hard to break into mainstream and they ride the line of obscure and mainstream foever. And I think they want it to be this way as well, they have just enough mainstream recognition to not lose themselves.

I wouldn't compare Overlord to SAO, as Overlord is completely different. I've seen some people compare it to the Game of Thrones of anime as it has more similarities with that show

For me Voracity has to be one of my favorite anime opening songs I have ever heard. The order for me easily goes 3, 1, 4, 2. Thats not saying 4 and 2 are bad all the songs are freaking top tier.

Whether or not the adaption of Berserk 2016-2017 was good or not . It had a kick ass metall soundtrack . OP1 &OP2 are fire . And the metal remixes of My Brother and Blood & Guts from the Golden Age Arc are bangers . So is Ash Crow by Susumu Hirasawa who does everything Berserk related when it comes to music . This Anime season they even turned the Golden Age Arc movie trilogy into a television series with additional content .I wouldn't miss for its Epic orchestral soundtrack .

You really gotta watch this show. If you like funny yet dark stuff then you will love Overlord. Personally it's my favorite anime/manga of all time, it has really good world building and everything that happens in the show really matters. There's no one off subplots, but there are subplots which lead into the main plot. It's really thorough and enjoyable. I hope you enjoy it as much as I and many others have.

Myth and roid always do fantastic with their OPs or Ed's. It's worth noting that their lead singer in 2017 broke off to do a single career and a new lead singer was brought it so I think Overlord S3 OP was done by the new lead singer. So you can compare the two as before the main singer left I think she was still with them when they did the OP for Saga of Tanya the evil as well as the earlier Overlord Ed's (S1 and 2). If you want more of their stuff I shall list all of their anime stuff I know of. Boogiepop OP - Shadowgraph Made in Abyss S2 ed - Endless Embrace - Honestly the whole soundtrack for this show is top tier Made in Abyss : Dawn of the Deep Soul film theme - Forever lost Cautious Hero OP - Tit for tat Saga of Tanya OP - Jingo Jungle Re-Zero OPs and Eds 1-4 - I don't remember which ones they did but I know some of the Ed's are sung by a VA from the show who is an amazing singer. Overlord Ed's expect 3 - Basically the two bands switch so if Oxt do the OP than Myth and roid for the outro. Both bands have the same composer known as tom-h@ck.

Please dont compare this to sao. Sao is a story about teens go vr game, overlord is literally about a guy being an evil overlord that is the final boss in fantasy story. Both is fundimentally different

To be fair we did say we haven’t seen much of it so I don’t know the story beyond, guy got stuck in an mmorpg, ( so I would plead ignorance ) BUT! In saying that, after watching these I am openings I am for sure down with getting into the show and learning more about it!

Yo overlord is definitely one of my top anime! If you guys want a straight fire opening song to listen to, check out the full Parasyte opening song (and yes I spelled that right lol). It's called Let Me Hear It by Fear, and Loathing in Los Vegas

Honestly, Voracity (S3's opening) is my favorite. Close behind is hollow hunger (S4) then Go Cry Go (S2) and last Clatannoia (S1). My one qualm with Voracity is that the full song is just redundant "Very" everywhere...

Great reaction to the openings. Overlord has some of the best openings of all anime. My favorite is Voracity (opening 3). You mention in the video that you like hard hitting/metal openings. If so, you've really got to react to RWBY (pronounced Ruby). At least react to the 1st opening. If it's something you may be interested in reacting to as a series, I'd suggest reacting to no more than the 1st 3 openings so that you don't get spoiled on the twists and turns of the series. However, I'd love to see your reaction to them. The singer, Casey Lee Williams, started singing the OSTs for the series at 12 years old (for the Red trailer). Her dad, Jeff Williams, was the composer/musician/singer up through the 8th season when he retired and Casey took the reigns. It's the only series I know of where you can hear the vocalist grow up and her voice mature year after year. Hopefully you pick up the series and react to it. It's the only series that I know of where they like people to react to the episodes without cutting them up or distorting them. The YT bot does block it from time to time, however Rooster Teeth, the creator of the series, has a page on their website that explains how to get it unblocked. If you decide to watch the series, start with the Red, White, Black, Yellow trailers. You won't be disappointed.

to let you know one band did op 1,2,4 and ed 3. another band did ed 1,2 op 3 and the lead singer then broke away from her band and did ed 4 so its the same 2 singers for all the op's and ed's just they flipped on season 3.

Interesting takes, I agree totally on the best OP being 3. As for an Anime to watch, you've probably heard of My Hero Academia right? Well in Japan its called Boku No Hero Academia, and there's a prequel to it called Boku No Pico. You should check that one out

The Anime adaptation is a rushed job (lots of cut content) and toned down to be family friendly for TV release. The Original Novel is way darker compared to the Anime adaptation. Main reason why it got 4 seasons is because how the Novel sold really well in both Japan and overseas.
