These are SUPER simple to install and its my new favorite way to wear my natural hair. You can install these Bantu Knots with wet or dry hair, depending on how much time you have and how thick your hair is.
My hair is very fine, so I find that 4 big knots are perfect for the curls I want to achieve.
The larger the knot, the looser the curl.

Just to let all the girls with the really thick hair know, instead of doing 4 buns do 6 or 8. I had to do 8 because my hair is VERY VERY thick.

I did it for a few nights and I love it! Thank you! This was a life saver! I had a bad haircut for $50. I'm so happy that they also worked on my Asian hair, I didn't get the beautiful curls that you had, but the waves are just as good, my self esteem is back! Thank you again! For those who have even shorter hair like chin length, use bobby pins, smaller sections, twist to about half or 3/4s of the way of your length that way the ends don't frizz too much when you undo them in the morning, then pin them in where they naturally twist on themselves. I'm so happy thank you a hundred times!

Having thin hair is not necessarily a bad thing at all. You proved that. In fact, you can do lots of styles versus someone who has tons of hair. Easier to work with.

I have super curly, thin, but hella amount of hair and I've done something similar in the past only I do more of the knots and break them up less (to keep the volume down). I'm always afraid to get too much volume. I feel like if I put too much volume, my head turns into a mushroom, especially since I live in a humid climate. This style looks phenomena on you! I really wish I could rock it as confidently and beautifully as you do!

AHH I tried this last night and I got soo many compliments today!! My hair is similar to Jaleesa's, but it's a little less course than hers. Also, my hair is a little on the longer side. I put in 9 bantu knots with oil and creme, and it came out perfect! I always fail at new hairstyles, but this was probably my first success!

Bantu knot= motjo kumba is my country. We have been doing this hair for like always. You" ll can also try to braiding the hair and then pushbthe braid under the roots you wil sleep better.

Hi Jaleesa, the curly hair that resulted was wonderful, this is some type of Bantu Knots, I recommend you leave dry naturally first, and later spray a little of water, then make more loose knots and secure them with a softer elastic not to damage your hair😊

I literally twisted and secured little strands of hair with bobby pins for like 20 minutes after each wash, only to find out this takes 5 minutes at most, and looks way better 😭 If anyone is wondering if this works on natural 1c/2a hair, it definitely does! I made 4 sections just like you did, but leaving the front strands out and later twisting them separately, so the front looks extra curly

I tried it yesterday evening on my fine and straight hair, just slightly dampened... Now, 16 hours later, my hair still isn't dry... :/ I unraveled one, and it kind of looked... Messy. I put it back in and I will let them dry until tomorrow morning, so about 36 hours, just to really give it the fairest possible chance, but for now it doesn't beat headband curls for me :/

If you ladies find it not working with thicker hair, try doing more knots Maybe 6 to 8 instead of 4. I'm sure it'll look cute on the both of you! :)

+Brandy you can do it if you get your hair silky and clean. may even need to blow dry and flat iron it first. then the knots will be better and last longer.

Okay I’ve got very short hair and I just tried this. I didn’t expect it to actually work because of how short my hair is but WOWZA my hair is suuuuper fluffy and curly now- I love it!!! My hair is actually soft finally, didn’t have to use a ton of heat and hairspray like usual. Deffo using this from now on

I've been doing my hair like this for years!!! I dont sleep in mine. I air dry about 75% of the way...then leave it to dry for about 2 hours and boom! I have fine hair so a short amount of time works for me

Thanks for this I was looking for an alternative to sleeping with a headful of bobby pins while I am waiting for those spiral pin things to arrive (I believe you only need one for each section but now I have seen your method I dont need them lol!). Of course the other commenters are correct in that you are so beautiful you couldnt go wrong! Thanks for sharing I subbed (You are easy to watch...you wouldnt believe how this hair curling seems to bring out the annoying factor in many KZfaqrs!) Your hair looks beautiful! I did exactly this! 4 sections for full coil curls. 2 section for like coils. I used QB for detangle,oil, and moisturizer cream. It was perfect.

For any one wondering if this works . yes it does ! For any hair type I personally have thick kinda long hair I did this and it worked and I only did the 4 little buns I slept on them and they worked a tip is do them tight if your going to sleep on them !

I know im late, but its because her hair is thin, so if your hair is thicker, u might want to consider doing more knots in smaller sections.
