Hey guys! I just want to apologize for a couple of things you may notice in this video. As many of you know, I just got this camera and am learning to use it still. I tried the auto focus feature and it didn't work out so well. I also was messing with the audio levels and you may hear a bit of clipping now and again. I will get better, I promise!

Just have found you! I love watching winter camping. As a girl, I used to go camping and fishing with my dad. We went as a family in Minnesota. I'm 75 now and can't do it anymore so I do it through you. I adore Monty and I love how you love him. I have two cats who I adore and they follow me around like I'm their mom! God gave us command over animals to care for them! I don't trust anyone who doesn't like dogs, cats or all animals. My cats sleep in bed with me so far all you haters, really don't care what you think. I'm happier than you are! I guarantee that! And so is Matthew!

This guy is hilarious! I don't know if it's just for the camera, or he's just this chillax in life, but it makes for a fun video. Monty is a good addition, dogs are the best when hanging outdoors.

I just recently started watching your videos, and I love them. I especially love the way you take care of Monte (or ir it Monty)? He is a sweet, beautiful boy, and he has complete confidence that you are going to keep him safe, warm, dry, and well fed. That's part of the reason he is so calm and obedient. He knows you'll look after him.

My opinion, you make the best videos in the winter. Just you, Monty and the snowstorms!

Make a t-shirt that says, "Camping with Monte" And have a picture of him with the sunglasses, orange wool hat and orange vest on. Ill buy one. And another one that says, " Lassie Who?" ,with the sunglasses on.

My kind have survived brutal winters since before you set foot in Europe. Shelters are for soft primates. Haha hahaha! " But, it is sweet how you take good care of him. He's living a great dog life, with all these adventures.

Know that feeling very well. I love our dog. He has no idea how much he gives to me in companionship. I’m on disability after having been electrocuted 6 years ago and left with a 24/7 migraine headache. I give Cole treats throughout the day and work with him on some little tricks. If we get down to nothing to eat I make sure he gets his before I take my portion.

I suffer from a major depression and anxiety and watching your videos helps a lot, its so relaxing! Keep up the good work!

Lots of kayakers and canoe campers use those chairs. To prevent it sinking into sand or snow cut a small cross in 4 tennis balls and insert the legs. Works like a charm. You know when the Dog is number 1 when the human gets the burger that fell into the coals twice! Oh, and the frozen gloves...lolol

Adventure Time with Monty the Dog & Matt the Human!

When your dog is digging the sleeping bag, he’s just fluffing it to make it comfortable just like some people do to their pillows, but dogs dig their beds. Our dog does that too.

I was so intrigued with your style of presentation... very cool and entertaining! just you being you out having a good time,having a few beers,good grub and chilln with ma nature and monty.. I use to have a dog that would bring me firewood, and even pile it up, one time we was camping in a state park, where they don't let you burn deadfall, my dog started a pile of firewood, I was not in camp at the time, a ranger came bye, and told my wife you cant burn deadfall, she wasn't thinking and said, we don't burn that, our dog put it their, and the ranger said Ya sure lady.

Monty got the poops...I watch these at night and you make me laugh out loud 😂🤣😂

My dog digs before bed too. I read that it has to do with the dog's paw pads having scent glands. Scratching at their beds and circling before lying down both help our dogs chase away any unwanted pests and mark an area with their unique scent Love your relationship with you buddy, Monty.

When I was younger, my grandpa taught me how to make Hobo Stew using the embers tin foil and 30 minutes of your time. can put damn near anything into the foil pack or do multiple. I usually put in ground beef, potatos, onions and chopped garlic.. sooooooo good

As soon as you said: "I got Monty a special treat! Pig Ears!!!" I thought, Dude--NO!!!! LOL I don't know why they sell them. I found out the hard way like you did when I gave Buddy, my black Lab mix a gianormous pig ear I got at Costco. Dayam! That poor dog and poor me had to deal with that for at least 3 days--ruined an entire weekend! ROFLMAO Anyways, another awesome video! Oh, BTW I did me hamburgers by using me knife to cut through the plastic tube, then gently popped the burger out of the wrapper. Much neater way to do it! ;)

Great adventure, Matthew...and Monty! That morning shot of Monty with the blanket looked straight out of a Star Wars flick...lol! Nice tarp set up with the Kelty (Noah 2?) and the meal and preparation was classic, Matthew! Steak is great right out of the wrap but hamburger is a totally different animal :) Prep 'em at home. A little Dawn and melted snow would have helped. I imagine you were cleaning fatty tissue out from under your cuticles for days. It was hilarious when you picked up your gloves, too! That was a totally enjoyable video, Matthew. Keep the videos coming! You made winter in-your-face snow camping look like so much fun!

Love watching these before and during bed

Pig ears are basically the same as rawhide which leads to pallets in his digestive tract which leads to toasters then cancer. But then u can't believe every veterinarian. I've only ever gave my dogs the mammoth bones. They seem to love the marrow inside the bones. I've had good success with the bones. It keeps the puppies from getting in trouble with eating moms shoes and such. Happy chewing
