an addition is that you can change the usual cwdt setups to cast when stunned which is amazing as you proc a lot more reliable and can use stuff like 21 gems cause cast when stunned has no lvl restriction

Great content 🎉 Myself I play a lot of std and pvp, when progenesis came out we knew that will broke the game and it did, then bloodnotch this patch improve the progenesis. But the counter for the combo remains in getting stun, fast enough to counter your attack or casting it is a problem with slow actions and even impossible to use it in pvp if you get a lot of hits in a short time you will be permanently stun locked.

I tried it on my nearly unkillable pathfinder (the only things that kill me are extreme shotgunning, or mavens anti-regen) the micro-stuns felt terrible to map with. it didnt take long for me to swap out of it. i even had a 999% immutable force.

this combination with pathfinder and phys damage conversion is the easiest and tankiest build to put together for me ever, sadly some of this things most probably are gonna get nerfed next league. good video ty

I'm on the fence to use it, i have the currency to get the jewels, but without the flask i think it's not that good either. I disliked petrified blood a lot, even on a pathfinder constantly flask healing. I think the low life requirement is just too much on top of the mana reservation, the need for recoup, the no regen, the life cost of skill, that's just too much, and at the end as you said you are just so weak to one shoot which are the entire poe defensive set up requirement these days. I f i get a lucky drop and can get ther flask before i stop playing the season i'll probably try though.

Haven't dabbled with this yet, but I have realized how good recoup is if stacked a bit with a small amount of leech (I have .3% cold damage leeched as health and about 30% recoup). Progenesis is super expensive, so getting all this defense set up isn't cheap. But bloodnotch is inexpensive enough. I think it's gets nerfed next league though.

I'd say it's kinda overrated, if not using Progenesis (which is kinda OP just on its own really). There's a number of defenses in the game that make you very tanky against small hits. The jewel combo impresses people a lot because of how comfortable it feels - until you die. But, albeit with higher passive investment but less currency investment, you can get the same feeling from just getting tons of dodge, spell dodge, block, spell block, etc. Nothing seems to hurt you, until something does and you die. In the case of the jewel combo rather than just being a random unlucky hit, it's a big hit. Both even share the similarity that they do nothing against DOTs. Armor works this way too - extremely powerful against small hits, next to useless against big ones. But if you just want to use it for mapping rather than facing any actually hard-hitting content, there's a MUCH CHEAPER option both in terms of passives and currency investment - just allocate Wellspring of Creation on your Atlas tree and boom, your build will magically be a whole lot tankier! 😉Point being the combo doesn't protect you against the stuff you truly need protection from - big hits/DoTs. Progenesis does, but Progenesis works amazing even just on its own. Hell you can even facetank small hits even without any mitigation if you just have tons of recovery from the old-fashioned sources too. Leech builds often manage this for instance, even without much investment into leech (so unlike regen builds) so long as their damage is good (especially now with instant leech in the game). Life on block builds have also been doing it for ages. The main broken part is here is just Progenesis imo. That said, I'm surprised I haven't seen much in the way of Cast When Stunned builds taking over the meta so far, especially since besides these jewels the gem itself was also significantly buffed this patch. If anything here were to truly break the meta, I was expected it to be that gem.

from experience this league, the 55% mastery works with PB but cowards legacy belt (which has the same wording as the mastery) does not work

Bloodnotch is 100% overrated unless one invests a lot into 1-shot prevention and have no other real form of recovery. Lifegain on hit watchers eye + Immutable Force is just as good in my experience. My TS Poison PF is very well geared, but I have so much life gain through leech, LGOH, life regen, and Master Surgeon + DD, that Blood Notch is barely impactful. Immutable Force, on the other hand, is badass as it completely nullifies stuns and keeps me pumping out dmg, moving, and mapping smoothly which is the best form of softcore defense anyway.

pathfinder bloodnotch+petrified blood+immutable force with phys as ele creates the strongest character I have ever played. I can afk simulacrum wave 30 with good gear. Absolutely no need for progenesis unless really shitty mods on uber eater

Could this work with the other mechanic that prevents you from dying by turning off an aura that you have reserved with a unique item. I think its the machanation shield from the guy with the chaos orb head. LUL

can i use the combo immutable & bloodnotch + energy mastery without petrified blood in eldritch battery Pathfinder impending doom build ? Does that stun make me feel "staying for a while" ?

If i have eldritch batery, do i still get the 50% chance to avoid the stun?

Hello. Can u help me with formula? I'm playing mf pf with 50% flask effect, 3200 hp, and stun jewels combo. For example, if I take 5000 hit only with progenesis. It will be 5000 - 37% (progenesis with flask effect) = 3150 hit and 1850 dmg as degen over 4 sec. But if I'm on full life, I will survive. Then with petrified blood. Same 5000 hit and progenesis. 5000-37%=3150 hit 1850/4 degen. Then 3150 - 40% = 1890 remaining hit, 3150 - 60% = 1260 base degen and it will be 75% (21/20 PB) = 945. So if I'm using PB and for example on half life (1600hp) I will die here, because hit will be 1890. I'm wrong somewhere or should I drop PB? Thanks.

Its strong in combination with other things(many other things) but theyre all EXTREMELY expensive by themselves let alone together. a max roll bloodnotch by itself is already minimum 13 divines which is much higher than the majority of players can reasonably justify spending on a single item let alone a jewel. So it doesnt really make sense for it to be nerfed. You're already spending WAY more than you need to just to get it functional, where you could spend a quarter of the total price for a build that can do 100% of the content in the game.

i dont understand the question, if the following premises are true, - Rich poe players arent dumb as fk - the item is high priced - therefore the item has to be useful If for example an item is worth multiple divines when in the past it was worth peanuts then it became useful, There is no secret society price gauging random items (atleast not this league) so what is the point of asking if something like this is overrated, i personally look at poe ninja and when i see an item that looks like trash and be expensive af i look up why is it op, i dont start with the premise of doubting that the whole market is wrong.
