A good discussion on getting started in overseas Contracting. Looking at where to work, what jobs you are qualified for and what certifications to have.

That is great ! Enjoy your time overseas Use the educational reimbursement to get another IT cert Invest in the stock market while it’s down like it is now haha

Good afternoon! I’m currently a 2LT in the Army, and I am very interested in getting a head start in setting myself up for contract opportunities after the military. I have 2 more years in my contract and wondering if it’s too soon to start applying. I’m in Logistics (Ordnance), but my background before joining is in law enforcement. I’m also planning to finish a doctoral program before I get out. Any suggestions on what I can be doing now to prepare for my ETS in 2024? Alot of good nuggets in your channel 👍🏾! I look forward to your reply, thanks!

You have many options First make sure your medical records are in order Also, go see your medical officer this week or next week and tell them you are dealing with sleeping issues ever since your first duty station and snoring keeps waking yourself up Then, look into Booze Allen Hamilton They hire former officers with damn good pay They will want your to have a few IT certs So work on those and get them You have many wonderful opportunities

Hi! You mentioned engineers. I am a mechanical engineer. Have you ever come across any design engineers who work with machinist?

The naval shipyards have designers that work with computer aided drafting software. Then huge 3d printers or milling machines I have seen laser and water cutters too Are you interested in shipyard work? It pays well with good benefits

@@RetireandGo I was in the Navy as helicopter mechanic. Ship yard would be too easy! 😀

Start by searching indeed com and Glassdoor com for overseas contracting and add a few keywords that represent your work background Then click on companies you are interested in In the upper corner as you are reading you will see (Apply Now) Click and fill out forms as requested
