Also you may find the VA programs to pay for IT training valuable Side note: you are having problems breathing when you sleep due to aviation fuel fumes. Aviation is huge in the contracting world especially in the Middle East. Many countries rely on US contractors and EU contractors to keep there aviation programs running. Every aspect. Maintenance, administration, supply (I’m doing this right now in Saudi Arabia). Have you gone on indeed, clearance jobs and others searching using keywords that match your skills yet? You may be very surprised. Try that ok?

Clearance jobs, I tried looking up jobs but at the first page it asks about if had security clearance or in the military. My experience is trip support (permits, ground handling, customs, flight plans...) with no military experience. I'm US citizen but I was born in Kuwait and lived there for years and would love to go back. Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain or Saudi. It seems the contract jobs that I was able to find are towards ex military. I'll keep looking through. One last question, do you know if I could take my family with me if I land a contract?

Overseas IT jobs are three basic daily arenas, office for sure, server rooms and field techs. They all pay well Remote IT work is out there though … focus on cloud network engineering certificates from Microsoft Azure and Amazon web services

Make sure the mornings you have your test done at home and the morning at fort bliss you do medical exams you don’t have any stimulants like caffeine Blood pressure meds bed to be disclosed and are very common. Don’t stress. Disclose needed prescriptions, nothing else

Many bases have 24 hour contractors watching cameras and alarms Europe has this all over Retired military police can of course look into investigation work too. The company Securitas has embassy security work

I will tell you two high pay contracts for former military cooks. I met people who did these. First is cook contracts on quadulan island Second is cooks on USNS ships Both former military cook positions Both pay was 6 figure Before you apply, put a good resume together and clean up all social media Professional photos and posts only They will all be searched by employers And for security clearance

Columbia and Panama have a US presence. The Canal Zone will have US contract work. Also the Dominican Republic is another place with US military presence

I have my security+ and about to get a Microsoft Windows Azure certification as well, and do have a Secret clearance (currently in use) working at an Air Force base. Was hoping to continue the same line of work overseas.

I have Secret clearance, Security+ and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ900. I’m hoping that is sufficient for a help desk role in IT overseas!
