@@ChinoEyes1 That's the problem, similar to Julia's. She also wants the Donaldo's to apologize, but not all of them actually are the stereotype person that many Liberals/Lefties have in mind. Sorries don't mean much to me anyway, it'll only be a thing to use against them, to remind them, but, the damage has already been done anyway. And even then... you're not going to get them on your team if you demand them to say sorry first, especially not when their side is also the side with most of the guns and whatnot. _IF_ a civil war broke out now, it wouldn't have the same result. Just saying. Each side is angry at the other side, the president is irrelevant, because if Donald wins in 2024, they might as well demand you to apologize for whatever they disagree with. That stuff will only keep that tug of war in place, keeping that pendulum swinging one way to the other. Why not try to see beyond the differences and try to get things running on a normal capacity again without killing/cancelling each other. Besides, "his heritage of slavery", he's not one of those 'white settlers', it's the USA, to go and try to deny settlers coming to America and ruling it till today, that'll also harken back to the civil war, is that really what you want? Slavery still happens in many countries with different races, and there are also atrocious acts by other ethnicities, what's the point of singling out the white goat with 666 between its horns. It looks like many people confuse their superior higher morals for superior firepower, how do you expect to make the Jan 6th bisonguy to apologize, he's not alone, and the more force put behind a movement to make these people apologize, the more resistance there will be to it, and yeah, to repeat myself, it's not going to be any prettier this time around. I'm not a fan of any politician at the moment, they've all failed in some way or another, but my choice would've been Bernie '16 & '20, but the DNC wouldn't have it, and i am definitely not a fan of Donald, Biden is just a creep, not any less corrupt than the next DNC representative. There are a lot of pains felt at this moment that are also caused by the Dems, and people celebrating the recent Ukraine win are putting up a nice show, but i am not interested. I do side with Julia on that one, let's just first wait and see what happens. But, speaking of apologies... as a working class minimum wage "essential" worker... i did not particularly agree with measures taken, and considering the damage done by putting everything on halt, i can say, there are a LOT of people that owe some apologies. So, why not skip this whole charade and focus on how to get back to a normal world.

We had 2 bad choices in 2016. Hillary decided to call everyone not voting for her a basket full of deplorables, which sounds like she divided us, not Trump. In 2020, we had a corrupt liar who has been on the wrong side of every issue for 50 years, or Trump who is an ass. the media, the candidates & their corporate donors are indeed responsible for their share of the blame, but as voting ADULTS we are all responsible for our actions, who we elect, who we support & who we come to believe are wrong, so if there is to be healing & compromise, the MAGA cult- A.K.A. the evangelical far-right GOP need to fist admit what Trump is, what he has done & hold him responsible for it, then they need to admit what they have done in support of him as more than just a candidate on a ballot because nobody has had such a cult following or merchandising like Trump. Trace Adkins is wrong in that he & those on his side of this political divide do have something to apologize for & sins to repent as a result of that. Denial won't work here. If the media lost their viewers because we were sick of their divisive rhetoric they'd change what they do to regain ratings much the same as the parties would shift their platforms to regain votes as the GOP sold their souls to retain the MAGA support. They made a conscious choice of power over integrity & their base let it happen by playing their part. Those who suffered & died as a result of Trump's reign & rhetoric deserve more than just "oops: our bad" or worse: "I have nothing to apologize for".

And, Thank You Rebecca W., as of the time of my reply, you were in the top 3 comments. I would add that Bill's conclusion statement here was one of his best. As I listened to Julia, I had the sometime same reaction - fuck MAGA. But like Bill, I *try* to understand the Trump voter and even MAGA. My dad was a life-long (84) Democratic Party voter, before Trump absorbed the Republican Party. He voted for the monster... twice. The first time, I adamantly opposed him. When "grab 'em by the pussy" was news, he called Trump a "douchebag". But he told me in the same conversation tho, that he was still going to vote for the douchebag. After Tucker Carlson and FOX 'News' supported and defended Trump, and to this day, during his term in office, my dad's brain was so MAGA-addled that he ended up voting a second time for the "orange man"... which, was no surprise. My point is, I knew my dad for some 70+ yrs as my hero. He is no longer my hero, but I know deep down he is Théoden and Tucker is Gríma Wormtongue.

This genetic descendant of the OG totalitarians, who can't recognize the resemblance of J6 to a show trial, who supports a party that burns down cities, who topples statues, who denies the election of 2016, who attempts an insurrection (by her standard) by storming the white house gates, who establishes their own CHAZ/CHOP confederacy; is now demanding that we have Truth and Reconciliation? She really is the spawn of her comrades.

Meacham has had major influence on Biden's speeches- how can he not be asked about the Independence Hall speech. If he didn't help write it, what did he think of it (since it certainly seemed more divisive than inclusive) .Big oversight.

Bill - I’ve said this before… I appreciate your return. Your language of inclusiveness is touching millions of Americans; and, hopefully resurrecting our mutual belief in and love of our Constitutional Republic. Your messaging tonight was not a one sided gang bang on whom ever you have chosen to disapprove. I approve of your journey to create dialogue leading to a respectful listening and discourse of shared values and visions for the future of our Republic. Bravo Sir for the bold risk taking to bring us together. 🇺🇸

Very well done segment. Validates my move away from progressive activism toward communal organizing and direct support for families in my community. Much more humbling and rewarding in lieu of constantly sprinting from one national cultural issue to the next- never seeing results on that scale. Bookmarking this video to share and rewatch 👏

Here's one thing to keep from alienating people and making their eyes roll to the back of their head: don't reference "the patriarchy." It's ivory tower narrativism that has no place in normal people's lives.

"Community organizing" my fucking ass. I was banned from my local mutual aid community when they learned I voted for Trump. We were screamed at on social media while city blocks burned when you idiots were activated by the George Floyd crap. People have been threatened, deplatformed, assaulted, hunted down by antifa. This is not a "both sides" thing. One side has clearly benefited from permissive institutional privilege. You want to walk this back but you don't want to admit any of this actually happened. There's no walking this back. You unleashed something and there's no putting the genie back in the bottle.

Someone must've hit the mute button when the woman was talking then. Lmao. Huge props to Bill, Trace and the other guy for not slamming that senseless idiot down in a less cordial manner. How they composed themselves when she tried non stop to lecture everyone on how people vote for the candidate and only that person. Instead of what Bill was saying, which is, they vote for the party who will meet their needs and concerns, it just so happens the face of it at a given time is said candidate. It doesn't mean they agree, like, or condone his behaviour. But because he is the only option to prevent policies people don't agree with from going through, they are left voting for him. Her stupid and ridiculous logic is that because Trump is grotesque and repugnant, then everyone should've voted for Hilary. Boom. Done. End of election. Who gives a damn about the policies or what is important to you and your family. As long as you can say I like this person more than the other, you did your civic duty. She is stuck in elementary school and highschool elections that are just horny kids voting on popularity because no one can change anything anyways

i love having conversations with liberals or socialists. they ask me a question and i answer then i ask them one and they say i dont want to talk about this and cant even sit there and talk about it. its weird. i think it might be because they are bombarded by the MSM to hate Trump but they dont actually know why. its all emotions and no brain
