lipid = fat soluble = able to be dissolved so, a substance that is lipid-soluble is able to be dissolved in fat. think of oil and water- they dont mix into each other.

Those hormones would be peptide and protein hormones (most of the hypophysis hormones) and derivatives of amino acids (except of thyroid hormones, they are soluble in fat). Srry for answering late haha
