Hi Matt. Controllers require an external rain sensor. I recommend using a wireless option to place it in an optimal location. Yes! This is a great question. Your programming will move to the cloud. Then you’ll always have a back up, so if something happens to the controller, and you replace it with a new one, you’ll still have the programming as well.

Yes, absolutely, you can operate the controller at the interface anytime, even with the WAND setup.

What happens when you press the PRG button in the center of the arrow buttons? This should switch between programs. Contact us if you need assistance.

Hi @searchmasterjohn (great name). Only the Pro-C with Blue Buttons is upgradeable. The HPC-FP is the face panel upgrade for the Pro-C but it only works with Blue Button models. Alternatively, replacing the entire controller is often not too difficult, we'd be happy to offer remote assistance. Reach out to our customer service anytime.

Hi Rob. If you are replacing the entire controller with a new Wi-Fi controller, yes, it will need to be reprogrammed. If you are connecting an existing controller to the internet (via Wi-Fi), all the programming *should carry over. Technology is great when it works, and sometimes there are glitches/bugs that create strange behavior which can delete data. But you should be fine!

It’s needs standard 120v AC power. There is a transformer that reduces the power to 24v. The battery is not used to operate the system.

Hi Oren Flotech. It is not possible to operate this controller on 12VDC. Alternatively, Hunter has model XC-HYRBID that is designed to operate on either 24VAC or 12VDC. Remember to change your solenoids to DC latching solenoids if you should to go with the DC option.
