I too have a V5. It's a brilliant, all purpose, high quality sewing/embroidery machine. Worth every penny! Keep up the good work. Love your videos.

I also have this machine and I love it - never knew you could leave the embroidery bit on - I was looking to buy the larger sewing plate but now I know i can leave the emb bit on - I don't need to xx

Marvellous description, I need to know how to get my designs from my laptop to my v5, I just can't seem to get it 😢

Just put your designs from laptop onto a usb and put that into your V5

@applelover53 I wanted to work from my PC! I'm trying to make more space on my machine as I need an additional 2.99mb, I have760mb and I need722mb x

So you want to send embroidery files from your PC to your V5? There was a computer connection cable with my machine in the box, however ive never used it as it doesnt work with Mac, which is what i use so its no good to me.

Does this machine have any appliqué functions or any useful features that could facilitate appliqué work?

This machine is a high-end machine packed with features. Maybe try and find a Brother dealer where you can go and see the machine in action yourself and you will be able to see whether it has the features you are looking for.

I have a V5. I got it in the Netherlands. I have never had time to learn how to use it. And now have moved back to America. Do you go into lessons for V5. I'm so lost with this machine. Thank you.

Hello@@applelover53 I bought the V5le at a couple of months ago after watching some of your videos. I am very much novice but keen to learn. Do you know how/if you can use the Artspira app with this machine. I realise its not wireless but wondered what if any apps you use, or should I be investing in the upgrade packs. Appreciate any guidance, thanks, Nerys :)

You cannot use artspira with the V5LE as the machine isnt wifi and thats how you have to use the artspira app. to be honest its not that good anyway and i certantly wouldnt pay the the subscription for it. Also as far as i am aware there are no upgrade packs for the V5LE, as the machine itself is an upgrade from a V3. Its a grate machine I do have other videos in the sewing playlist, I also posted one just last week with hints and tips for stitching a tea towel

i cannot install my upgrade kit 1, i have updated the software, followed the wizard on the disc, i have got my certification key , but the machine has blanked out where the certified button is, Have you got any suggestions

Hi, I am just about to buy this machine, there is a but though. Hubby thinks there is more to go wrong as it is a combo, also do you find it a phaff, abit of a bother switching over from sewing to embroidery and visa versa...I was told the bobbin case had to be changed also to drop the feed dogs and change the needle is this the case......video very good by the way.

You dont have to change the bobbin case, all you need to do for sewing is change the foot for either embroidery or put any foot you want to use to sew with, takes seconds, also you change the needle as you would with any other machine, take one out put one in no need for any other things to do. I would suggest you go to a dealer if you are unsure and ask all these questions it may help you decide. I hope that helps it is a great sturdy machine, love mine
