*Altogether a well made lure **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s the skirt seems to stay on well and the whole thing is bigger than I thought it would be. The 2 metal have a nice plating on them as well.*

Hope you thawed. Too cool, love that skin pouring such a great effect. I couldn't help but thinking that you could some cool things dusting and skinning. The dusting was why I was looking at a 2pc open mold but seeing you skin pour has me rethinking things. As always..thanks Chris and hopt you and the fam have a blessed Christmas.

Greetings from Australia. I’ve been experimenting with spraying a final coat of liquid (pre- heat treated) clear soft plastic, and then hitting it with the heat gun instead of clear dipping. It’s a great way to capture dusted pigments that are brushed onto completed soft plastics. You can also airbrush tinted plastic but it is difficult to foresee the final result as the mix sprays out milky and then changes when you heat and polymerase the coating.

Just a question or thought, maybe you could place the molds into a preheated convection style toaster oven to completely re-liquify the plastic rather than a heat gun or torch? Seems like a decent idea to me, letting them re-liquify in the oven would take some real time but should definitely yield almost perfect adhesion between layers. Food for thought.

I have not read down through all the comments ... there's just too many of them. But having never poured anyting I was wondering if when you were doing the black for that yellow perch would an eye dropper help you out?

That's a pretty cool technique. You should try a combination where you dust the stripes and then skin pour over that... I think it would make for a cleaner look for the stripes but overall those came out awesome.

Those trout kick ass bro the pink line can’t be more perfect but I have only a problem whit your perch you definitely need some orange in the tail and Finn and abit more green in your gold but still really well done

My yard is a sheet of ice everytime I let my dog out you can hear the ice crunching u see him lol! I can't wait for spring already going crazy not being able to fish. People around me do ice fish! But that's not my cup of tea!! So all winter I spend my time cleaning reels and rods checking/changing out any hooks and or split rings that may need changing. I then go through all my plastic baits get them in order see what I need for next season and so on. Because that ice fishing just isn't for me!! I'm considering looking into attempting hard baits not making but buying blanks and all accessories and painting them I have so many color schemes I don't really see much of or color schemes you just can't find anymore like on some of the older lures from years go etc. I got some websites catalogs coming each month they sell everything fishing any kinda lure making material you can think of all the way to even rod making materials. Because if I can't fish all winter I gotta be doing some thing related lol.. well tightlines and great channel 🎣

you can cut strips of plastic and put them in an open- pore mold to get cool lines and triangles. Just like putting in eyes before you pore

To heat the mold get a single or dual burner hot plate with the solid burners. Then you could just place the aluminum mold on the burners would that work to heat your mold to a consitent temp during your pours? Just an idea.

I've got a great color I want you to try it's a laminate black and blue top and a watermelon blue flake bottom I want to see it in a creature style mold if you do it
