Hey Mariana - thanks for your comment. The lesson you watched was taken from our 10-hour Task 1 course. I made the first 4 lessons free (there are 22 in total) but the rest, including the lesson on how to find key features, are part of our paid content, which you can find at www.myieltsclassroom.com. I think boys and girls are countable nouns. Amount of boys and girls? Or NUMBER of boys and girls. 😬

Hey Garvit. It is lovely to see you here. Yes, this is definitely my native speaker brain working here - we tend to use "less" and "amount" with countable nouns today (in fact, it is rare to hear "number" or "fewer") but I agree that it would be better to remember to use number with countable nouns if you can.
