I put higher voltage on more toys primarily using a 0-30V bench power supply. But some toys required even more voltage to die! Used a Variac with a full bridge rectifier (input 230V) when I needed more than 30V.

In this video, I increased the voltage in smaller steps between ~5-8V to see what happens with the sound. But maybe it makes the video too long? At 8:53, I love how the talking and dancing duck (with the cactus mechanism) had a freaking seizure at like 30 volts of ultimate power! And at 9:24, the seizure worsened by 325 volts. Jeez. I wonder how much voltage the duck cactus can take. Can it take anymore than 325 volts?

@@The-creator-of-good-videos-15I never reached 325V as you can see on the multimeter, it died at 46. But maybe I should try to start it up at max voltage instead of ramping it up slowly in the next video, I bet there will fly some sparks 😂

Maybe at times increasing the increments every 3 to 5 seconds. Don't want to stretch it for to long per toy.

Excellent smoke show from the baby and the chainsaw. You know manufacturers pre-pack electrical parts with a certain amount of magic smoke which makes them work. The variac option is great for when things wont blow up on 30v but it would be fun to add a current meter to this circuit to see how many amps are drawn while the things fry. Funny that the sound chips fry above 7v and the current goes high

I actually like the precise voltage tests to see what happens with the sound and the voltage rising quickly overtime to see the absolute threshold. Yes the video is longer, but all viewers have to ability to control the video time.

Thanks for feedback, I have a new video ready which will release in a few days with a much higher pace, I'll see which performs better. I found one toy that gave off a highly distorted sound with both a slight increase and decrease in voltage, I found that pretty funny, wish more toys had that kind of audio curcuit!
