I do miss some of the OW1 select animation; some of them were a classic. I wish we at least kept them in Highlight Intros as "Heroic 1" so we could still see them during POTGs.

Despite the many mistakes overwatch 2 has made since release, i must admit that the loading animations are pretty cool. Too bad i can't play it, (stupid sms project)

God damn, im torn apart. On one hand OW2 has much better materials, more detailed and expressive faces, and animations convey more of the characters traits. But the posing is sooooo much better in OW1, if you would only see the outline of the character, you would immediately know who it is, and in OW2 not so much.

DVA, Reaper and Tracer in OW2 are the best for me.

With maybe the exception of widowmaker not having her gun, these all feel much more geared to showing you a taste of the characrers kit in some way, as well as give a better taste of their personality. Strict upgrade, nicely done imo

my opinion of which is better: Dva - OW1 Reinhardt - OW1 Roadhog - OW1 Winston - OW1 Zarya - OW1 Bastion - OW2 McCree - could combine both! spins the gun, then moves the hat up, then puts it down into the holster. overall, OW1 is just better if I had to pick one or the other. Genji - OW2 Soldier 76 - OW2 Tracer - OW2, although they should've kept the hair blowing part at the ending of the animation in OW1. Widowmaker - OW2 Hanzo - OW2 Junkrat - OW2 Mei - OW2 Reaper - OW2 Pharah - OW1, but again could've just kept OW1 while just adding the 'landing' start, yet keeping it sharp to a salute and good posture like in OW1, maybe removing the helmet right after landing. Symmetra - OW2 Mercy - OW2 Zenyatta - OW2 Torbjorn - OW2, although in both versions he's the most underwhelming one. Could've had him drinking his molten shit like in one of his POTG animations, just a little less flamboyant so the POTG one sticks out. Lucio - OW2

Main roadhog here I really like that now it seems more intimidating because of its strength and sure of what it is going to do because of how it cracks its neck as if nothing I don't know but my main seems more intimidating I have to say that his laugh was cool but this one too The good thing is that they have put more laughs similar to the old team in the game

I just hate the new ones, overall characters itself look better in ow2 but some of these goofy animations are so unnecessary, junkrat is making me cringe so hard and some heroes are more zoomed in than others

Ya antes había comprado un paquete de juegos que incluía el OW1, pero solo jugué una partida y no me atrajo nada, no me llamó la atención, ya sin mencionar que no es de mis géneros de juego favoritos. Pero cuando probé OW2, el simple hecho de ver las animaciones de los personajes me hizo sentir atracción hacia el juego; como cada uno se nota que tiene una personalidad, como actúan y como esto va acorde a sus habilidades y mecanismos. Simplemente un deleite entrar a una partida de OW2 y ver las animaciones de los personajes que pienso jugar. Gran trabajo

Now, i wish ow2 supports mods so you can bring back the old selection hud and the hud and kill feed one. I dislike the new hud with the ultimate, i kinda like the kill feed one but the old icons were better. Or just have a hud option to have OW1 hud style with the selection and stuff

Bro so far overwatch 2 is awesome, haven't had this much fun since season 2, been playing since season 2, seen every bloody metal from the OG tank meta to goats/dive, overwatch is fun again :) and it makes sooo nostalgic, glhf to all the new players, push r2 to heal as mercy btw

ow1 is exceptional at expressing personality and character through short and sweet animations. i don't know why they felt the need to change what was working, almost all of these new ones feel slow and uninteresting

Overwatch 1 is masterpiece. Animation is on whole another level, super subtle, professional amazing juicy animations! The rhytm the movements, ah, thank you developers for this pleassure in Overwatch 1. Overwatch 2 is downgrade.
