This one took a while, it was actually pretty difficult.. mainly the first part though, everything else apart from the dual subjugaters is somewhat simple.

Not sure if anyone else had this bug, but the slicers were clipping into the door on the ferry section making it unable to be beaten unless we had splash damage, unfortunately our sojourn left and was replaced by a bot

That’s very common, happens all the time if the slicers are booped near the boat, they’ll just end up getting glitched inside

Yeah, it happens all the time. You need something with piercing or melee to hit them.

This mission is definitely my favorite. Nice level of difficulty, I also love that the hard part is at the very beginning, unlike the next mission.. Still heavily disappointed with the lack or scoreboards man, soloing is hella weird and hard too, aint no way im buying 4 copies for that

Well, it would be as close as asking 3 people to « actively spectate you » lol They’ll be in the game, but they shouldn’t have anymore stats than maybe healing each others a bit I they get hit. There might be some good spot to hide for them to not draw the enemies fire and let you do your stuff. I guess doing Toronto like that in Hard mode as Lucio wouldn’t be impossible, given you can try to Boop the Subjugators on high platform and they’ll have a hard time getting down. You can also conserve Bomb Barrels for when a dangerous enemy spawns and you Boop them close to it and explode the Barrel (In my Legendary run, I booped an Elite Nulltrooper beside a barrel and my Echo shot the Barrel and it One-Shot the Elite, the Barrel actually does shit-ton of damage!). Can also do your best to dodge the Stalker by not being in it’s line of sight when she tries to pull.

I did it Solo Queue, the closest I was to losing it was that final wave on Claire and Reggie section that starts with 2 subjugator, then 3 more + 1 stalker. As Lucio I was juggling between Reggie (which was my side to look after) and Claire (had 2 subjugator on her side). I’d boop away the Subju on Reggie and go middle to boost heal my teammates and shot Subju on Claire. I see Subju on Reggie and my Sojourn being sucked away by Stalker (I’m sorry Sojourn, got my priorities straight here. xD). So we kill all Subju on Claire, my Sojourn is dead, my Winston is 50hp, and theres the Subju coming on Reggie. I boost speed to get back to position, and theres the Stalker right beside it, and suck me in at the exact second that I’m boutta boop the Subju so my reticle aims her and Boop her instead. So I sit there and shoot at the Subju, dreading my cooldown as it come as CLOSE as sitting on Reggie’s head for 0.1s. And when It touched Reggie’s head, my Winston died and did that death « boeeep » noise at the same time so I thought I lost for a nanosecond. After that, I died to the stalker because I got sucked in and I looked away to boop the Subju, that my Echo killed half a second earlier, instead of keeping it to save myself. At least my Echo was boss enough to rez Sojourn, back up to the big health pack, rez Winston, while I back off into the tunnel stairs (like you suggested) and rezzed by Sojourn. That was a crazy round.

Nice!! That does sound pretty chaotic, well done ^^ Definitely the hardest part of the mission. The beginning is hard, sure, but since its so close to the start it's not that bad. This part is like 20 mins in the mission or something, so the stakes are a lot higher.

After that part, everything is just EZ if you don’t do stupid. xD I’m surprised you guys managed it with the Baptiste and especially Cassidy. They aren’t considered to most optimal picks by most people. Were they YOUR optimal picks? Or did you guys just decided you’d rather got the « Big Guns and Shoot Em’ Down fast enough » way to go about this? Most people I’ve seen prefers the « Big Boop » way lol

I keep dying on the last wave after we get above ground. The stalker always gets one of us and we all die after. It’s so hard with randoms…

That part is painful, there is no doubt about that. Even with a coordinated team, one slip up can cost the game. I would recommend trying to nuke the subjucators while avoiding getting grabbed by the stalker; constantly try to lose line of sight if she teleports close, if someone gets grabbed, you have to quickly make a choice to save them or to boop a subjucator, it is really situational. Once the triple subjucators are dead, retreat back underground immediately. (unless everyone is alive or something).

That is one of the hardest parts of the mission, you need good teamwork and positioning if you want to pull it off. I recommend having Rein hard focus slicers while everyone else shoots other stuff. Rein can stun a slicer every swing, so he is excellent for dealing with them, he shouldn't need help. For each wave in the final stage of the ferry you want to cycle ultimates. For example, first use Amplification Matrix, once another swarm comes, use Deadeye. If there's more, use more ults if needed. You shouldn't need to use any ults before this part so you guarantee you have them.

Nice thanks for all the vids about new PvE modes Carrier :). Ive seen some other gameplay. But i only see people playing with friends or with AI. Is it possible to play with randoms ? Also, do we have to pay the 15$ to play ? Or is it possible to try it for free ?

There is currently one "event" mission. You can play that for free. You can queue for the mode solo or with friends, any missing slots will be with randoms. The Invasion missions are locked behind a 15$ paywall, all players need to own it in the group to play it. You apparently get filled with bots if you can't find a game in time, and/or if someone leaves they're replaced with a bot.

@@CarrierArcnight okok i see. thanks for all the infos :). I really liked playing with randoms in archives event, no matter their lvl or knowledge. But im affraid that people will get bored quickly cuz of not much replayability + paywall, and so ending up playing only with bots ;(... At least ill get to watch some fun and good teamplay thanks to you ^^

These missions are a lot harder than what we have had before, mainly cause of the overwhelming amount of HP they have. I suggest having Rein in every mission, he's probably the best tank here. With Rein you can easily eliminate high value targets by charging them off the map. Extremely effective in the third mission for example. For Liberation, the first part, have Rein mostly focus slicers alone, every swing stuns the slicer so he can deal with them easily. Everyone else shoots everything else. The moment where the artillery unit spawns - you can shatter him and charge him off the map, you'll kill him easily and even fully get your ult back (if hes full health) After that it'll get intense soonly after, you need to cycle ultimates as a team preferably at that stage. For example, first use Amplification matrix, once the next swarm comes and/or there's too many of them, use another ult like Deadeye. If something is going bad, use shatter/immortality field. Doing it with randoms can be really hard honestly. Always remember cover is your best friend, if you die always try to go to cover and preferably closer to your teammates(unless the situation needs a different choice). Learning the health pack locations is helpful too.

WHYY did Blizzard put more than half of each new update behind a paywall?! Like, in OW 1, everyone got access to the content and updates they released. I've already paid for that, can't they give us the UPDATES for free then? I also feel like it is becoming more P2W, as most OP broken heros that releases are locked behind either playing really much, or paying for them

It's all about money. Despite the vast majority of people hating all of it, they somehow still pull more money than they would if they made it better for everyone, for a shit ton less effort. It's kinda crazy. Though I do think they're starting to go a bit too far, surely it's gonna start backfiring very soon...

Anyone beat legendary on solo queue? The furthest I go was metro station with Claire&Reggie with a team(randoms) that know what they’re doing and minimum voice chat. I don’t think it’s possible for me🥲

It's a really hard mission even with a decent team, let alone randoms. A couple of friends and I have beaten it with randoms before, but a big majority have been losses. For that part, you either need good positioning to avoid the stalker while you deal with the subjucators, or several heroes that can stun/boop to free your teammates from the stalker instead. A good thing to remember, if you are able to kill the subjucator waves, you can freely retreat back down the stairs from where you came. The stalker won't follow you there, only the troopers will.

I did it with randoms because my friends weren’t available, I clipped the last 15 minutes of it on my Ps4 and so I could rewatch. I like to appreciate my plays but, I just wish there was an In Game Replay for the missions because my teammates were incredibly smart and I wish I would’ve seen their plays from their own PoV. I love to just get randoms and then theres this incredible mutual understanding, no mic, no nothing, but we know our shit and what we gotta do. xD Rare thing tho, but definitely satisfying moments, that’s why I keep recordings of these. =w=
