As I blast Overwatch, I want you all to understand I've played a ton of that game, almost 1,000 hours, I liked it quite a bit when it first came out. But it's rotted over the years. Competition is very good for us, but if you're looking to Overwatch for competition that's pathetic. How can a game with an active dev team not beat a game that is 9 years older with one developer? That's pathetic.

Overwatch was a great concept for a game, but TF2 succeeded at doing everything right. I gave up on Overwatch partially because of this reasonm let Overwatch die if they don't fix this. TF2 will live on, even as Overwatch dies. The crossover promotion is good, but Overwatch will die before they can benefit from it. Oh well, TF2 won anyway. But Overwatch helped TF2 in the past, and should live to help TF2 now.

One of the best memories I have with Team Fortress 2, was being a demoknight in MVM and someone actually complaining about it. I kept telling him the devil night slays when he gets going. "Tf2 won" What the fuck is the TF2 community on? There was never a war. Competition in games means better content as they try to keep up. Some of my best moments in gaming come from Overwatch, and when you play it casually Overwatch is some of the most fun you can have online. But that is the same for TF2! We should be BROTHERS in gaming- not bitter enemies. And hell, whenever I talk about this with diehard OW fans they always show appreciation for what came before- whereas TF2 fans act like its a bitter feud and that Overwatch is a sin on gaming for the mere idea of being similar - the TF2 community are pretentious as hell. And this is coming from someone with 7600+ in TF2. It's one of my favorite video games that I still play to this day. But come on, we are acting like brats. It's embarrassing.

i do have good memories of Overwatch. A lot of them! I remember this one match, I was just watching my brother play for once, and it got into this crazy-ass situation where he was a Mei defending the payload completely alone against the entire enemy team... for 5 solid minutes. That shit was insane. and I had a lot of great times playing myself as well! But fuck blizzard, man, they ruined every good thing about the game and i haven't played it in years.

Overwatch, the first game itself was pretty good and they should've let the first game run. But the moment they said "Time to kill the servers" in sake for the horrible sequel, they hit the nail of the coffin for themselves lol. Like what did they expect killing the only game that is keeping overwatch on its knees like that and expect EVERYONE to move on to the next with a flick of the finger?

From what I've heard from a friend of mine: Overwatch got its feet shot off because SOMEONE (at the top) wanted these games to be a PvP E-Sport thing, when the developers themselves wanted to make a PvE thing (and irrc, that's what all of you fans wanted too). I don't remember the exact words or conversation points, this is what I mostly remember from that soap boxing. Got reminded of the RWBY fug ups during that too, and I'm just marginally aware of both franchises' existence.

valve updated tf2 to remove the only stun mechanic from the scout's sandman and I'm so glad they did Playing overwatch is just a get stunned simulator, gave the game a chance and I would get stunned,frozen,put to sleep by a simple DART, GARBAGE GAME

I thoroughly enjoyed overwatch at the beginning. Started playing ranked but the thing that put me away from it were the people in game. I told myself that surely people are less toxic and more friendly in the higher ranks. I got to grandmaster in season 3 or 4 and quit completely after that.

Best part is OW2 is on the steams stores front page so basically Valve gave them it to have an “even comp” ( or partially because blizzard dished out a ton of money but we will ignore that)

I played aome of overwatch 2, i had fun with junkrats explosives at first, but then after a day it was misserable to acually try to play the game, i thought i did well, but i never saw my team, and kept getting mad at everthing because it never felt good to play, i never knew what was happening and it just felt bad.

god imagine they DO get a crossover, what does each one brings to the fucking table OW2 has hats, weapons, cosmetics, reskins, war paints, maps, taunts and maybe even unusual effects that can be moved to TF2 meanwhile TF2 might add maps and a skin based on the mercs and the conga (a taunt) because guess what. you can't bring individual cosmetics, nor individual weapons or skins for weapons because those come with skins. case and point, even in this crossover OW2 is shooting itself in the fucking knee (forget the foot it's in the knee)

the thing about TF2 is that it's easy to get a grasp on, but hard to master it. Things like rocket jumping are easy to learn, but mastering it takes many many hours. Meanwhile in overwatch you get some op ULTS or whatever it's called and you win the game. Just to be fair I played OV2 the day it came out and I spent quite some time on it (AND MONEY) now I stick to tf2 because it is still fun to play and meeting new people, and while OV2 has some strong points it's simply not fun anymore at least for me.

I honestly do not care about overwatch and probably never will but holy shit that rocket jumping was so silky smooth.

Overwatch *USED TO* be good. I bought OW myself some time after release and it was a genuine breeze of fresh air on the market - a game more based on teamwork with characters that took skill to be good at. I even played the Ranked and got 2 golden weapons myself - one for Rein and one for Zen... The part that ruined that was mandatory team compositions, where you had to play with specific heroes otherwise you would lose 90% of the time. That made a large amount of heroes useless, as if you did pick them, you would cause your team to lose. And all of that wasn't helped by the fact that the OW team was releasing more "press Q to win" heroes who didn't take skill to play, making them not fun to play as or against, but became a must pick. OW on the beginning wanted to give you many options to play, but soon after started to force you to play a certain few in a certain way which is never fun. At the end, I've sold my account and considering the current state of OW2, I don't regret it.

I play Overwatch, and I can safely confirm that most players rely on a singular button to get the most absurd kills and whatnot Like D.Va's ult that can kill literally anyone in one hit, or Orisa's wannabe australium form, etc. I liked that game when it was brand new, but ever since then, its been on a downward spiral that's turning into a dumpster fire 💀
