I love how back then when a comforter comforts an anxious person the anxious person then thinks “oh wow he cares about me” and now here in the present when you comfort someone youre gonna need to be extra careful cause theyre gonna look way too deep in to what you say, like when you tell them that “everything’s gonna be fine” “or you’ll be fine” they’re gonna find a way to make it more negative than it is.. (im just basically saying that back then thought counts, comforters trying to comfort counts, and people being there for anxious ppl counts no matter the words, and in the present what youre gonna say has to be something extra or rehearsed because some words like “calm down, you’ll be fine, and everything’s gonna be okay” seems offensive for them or something (idk) even if you were there for them) im not saying being careful to what you say to them sucks or a bad thing all im saying is its just way harder to comfort people nowadays than back then, being careful to what you say to them is fine and all if thats what they want we can just give it to them they do deserve to know everything good abt themselves or to be comforted... so yeah

I like the sentiment of being there for someone to relieve their anxiety but not everyone has someone to feel the difference of night and day with. Sometimes it’s always night. I think this song is special for the fact that none of us are alone in our sickness.

"So just don't get overwhelmed, you'll be fine" triggers my PTSD every time I hear it since it's what neurotypical people would tell me and then treat me worse when I don't turn the stress off. Came here because I heard just that clip and immediately my anxiety spiked. The first guy with the beard is phenomenal, the other one sounds like the kind of person to say "just stop being depressed, forget your problems and be happy" kind of shit.
