I love your point about being realistic with what we think we should be able to do as moms.

I like the idea of narrowing our focus on what’s in front of us. I believe multitasking is an illusive concept. Great video. Thank you. This was a fun collab.

I love the idea of a To Done list. I think it would be an encouraging way to feel more successful (or open my eyes to when I am wasting too much time). Thanks for the video!

I really like that idea 💡. Writing down what was accomplished. But not necessarily Everything. I just need to Wright it down. Lol. I always feel overwhelmed with the things that need to get done daily and the other maintenance that are done once a week. And yes! The pushe and feeling to get everything done and ppl satisfied. Overwhelming for sure.

I need to time myself to see how long it takes me to get ready and out the door! I’m usually 5 - 8 minutes late.

"Keep it simple" is my motto. I know when I start feeling overwhelmed it's because I haven't done that! I learned to do the "Done List" for our homeschool years ago. Planning out a whole year/semester/month/week stressed me out because inevitably something came up during the week that threw the whole plan off. So, now I have a general idea of what we need to do, and just do the next lesson. Then I write down what we did in my homeschool planner. Interruptions aren't a big deal because I know where we left off. And when I feel unproductive I can see that we really did "do school" today.

Yes, there is TOTALLY a concept called a "done list!" I can't remember where I first came across it but there's even a website called I Done This where you can track your "dones." haha Your remark about something taking 45 minutes when you thought it would take 15 reminded me of something I read a long time ago that said that if something takes you 15 minutes to do ONCE on a really ideal day, you tend to think it will ALWAYS take only 15 minutes. I was like, "Dang! So true!" This was one of my favorite videos of yours ever! So funny AND so helpful!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I am by no means a productivity expert, but it was fun to think about how best to get things done. And I'm glad that done list is actually a thing. :) What a pain it feels like with work, but it actually really helped me in figuring out so many things, especially where to start decluttering and simplifying.

I can be an expert at multi-tasking fails. I always just end up feeling overwhelmed and like I haven't done anything very well. Sometimes we just need to slow down and reduce what we are trying to do all at once. :)

I am a working mom. My work is part time but it still feels like I don't have time to get things done before everyone is home. I like the tracking your time idea. Is there any other tips for a mom that works outside of the home?

I can not stress enough simplifying as much as you possibly can! Figure out what takes the most amount of your time and figure out how you can simplify it. I think what has also helped me is to plan the time that I am home before everyone else gets home ahead of time. Otherwise I'm tempted to sit down for "a moment" and get sucked into some distraction and before I know it, everyone's home and my tasks have gone undone. If I know what I'm going to get done before hand, it helps me stay on track!
