I've always though that the day of ovulation was the day the temperature went up, and so I've been aiming for just the day before or the day that happens, which is probably too late to catch the egg since the temperature rises about 3 days post ovulation. Do you have a video on ovulation bleeding? I know today is the day of my ovulation and there was some bleeding a bit ago. Not the dark dry blood but it was the fresh pretty red. I usually get that sharp pain in my sides mid month and it's excruciating for about two to three hours and I was told that it was a sign am ovulating.

I have done four rounds of Clomid out of all four I got pregnant twice but lost two of them. I started my cycle this month, so I’m doing round number five. I had an ultrasound last month on cycle day 14 to check follicles. And my lining was good but this period only lasted a very short amount of time and was super light. Is it still possible to conceive?

How about short opk positive peaks. Like my opk peaks were only for a day. I got pregnant and miscarried when my opk positive was 3 days long so this makes me wonder. Am I only ovulating when my peak is 3 days long and not just one day.

I'm a little confused about BBT tracking. Are you saying your temperature doesn't rise until 3 days after you ovulated? From what I thought I understood, you can confirm that you ovulated if your chart shows 3 consecutive days of sustained temperature rise, but that you actually ovulated the day before the temperature shift. Or do you ovulate 3 days before the first temp rise? Thanks for all your great content!

My cycle would come on day 28 ever since I started getting my period never late never early. I had an ectopic pregnancy and now my cycle comes on day 26 and I ovulate (I hope) on day 12/13 according to the test. I'm age 40 and I'm now trying to conceive lol I was enjoying my youth.

I have Hashimoto’s disease but my periods are regular and my numbers, other than my anti bodies which aren’t super high, are normal. I was on the bc pill for ten years and have been off and ttc for 5 months. Is there hope for me? Anything i should check? I do spot three days before period.

I'm really feeling lost. I've been trying for over 8 months, I can predict my periods with high accuracy. maybe 1 to max 2 days off. periods last on average 5-6 days. I've never taken birth control and I am 30 yrs old. I am slightly overweight but I am making changes to eat well and work out. When I take Ovulation strips I do see higher levels of LH but I don't know if there's a high enough spike. Is it likely my estrogen levels are causing the issues? Cervical Mucus seems quite normal as well.

Thanks very much for the video, it'svery helpful! My periods are irregularly regularly like you mentioned, and occasionally over 40 days. But I got a blood test from my doctor and they said the results were normal. Does that sound OK to you or do you think it's worth going back?

Sounds like you are ovulating but it may not be regular or ideal. Would consider seeing if you have a thyroid issue or PCOS

I can pin point my cycle and use to pin point and know when I ovulated. TMI but discharge was a big one. Copious amount of egg white discharge at ovulation. That discharge has decreased the pass couple years. I still have the discharge at ovulation but it’s minimal. Could this be the issue I’m having with conceiving a second baby. We have been trying for almost a year. So we will be seeking help the beginning of the year. I am 33 and conceived my first child on the first attempt. So I was spoiled with no wait.

Hello, i would have a couple of questions for future videos, if your educational vocation continues 😅 (thank you so so much). How does a hormonal iud (levonorgestrel) impact the regularity and effcacy of ovulation and overall cycle? E.g.: • does the mucus still cycle the same way if you have a iud? • can a iud explain irregular-ish cycles? In my case length varies 5-10 days from month to month, but it's always 25-37 days long, and i don't know if this was the case before i started with iuds? If these variations are not caused by iud, are they worrisome? Thank you again x

I’m confused. I have been using the LH OPK strips that come in a box the Easy Home brand (popular on Amazon). LH line has gradually gotten darker and the app tells me the results are high. The line is dark almost matching the other line. I’ve had cervical mucus for a week now. I have some pain in left side (typical mid-cycle pain) but I took the Clear Blue digital test and got no smiley face and the result showed low fertility. My fertility Dr said this test is more accurate. But why would I have two tests showing two different things? I’m feeling discouraged. I had a miscarriage in November and didn’t get my first period back until last month. I thought I was very fertile from all the cervical mucus and increase in libido during that time, had inter course that entire week but no pregnancy. I’m almost 40. Feeling the pressure.

Is there a way to know if the dominant follicle that burst actually had a mature egg in it, or if it was empty? I use the home kit and also had my ovulations confirmed with ultrasoung many times. So I know I ovulate regularly. My doctor said that the follicle might be empty though and that could be one reason for not getting pregnant.

I understand many other factors are needed more than just ovulating. If you ovulate, great start, but I would check other things too. That month the egg, the endometrium and other hormones must be on point.

@@mariana88881 the only thing they can’t test is the egg itself (because we’re not doing IVF yet), but everything else seems to be totally normal, hormones, endometrium, etc.

I get dizzy every month right before ovulation... it kicks off my anxiety and makes me not want to do anything for fear of a panic Attack, like go in a store or somewhere in public ...it only lasts for a day or two at the most... is this normal? I'm about to turn 40 in a week and it started about a year ago... I've never had any issues with hormonal stuff until recently... I conceived my 2nd while doing the natural birth control of waiting until after period was over but plus a few days, then we did the deed and right after I had the FCM and boom! my adorable son was born LOL 🤷🏽‍♀

Hi, do you recommend PdG test for confirming ovulation? I do not have EWCM and BBT is hard for me to keep track of. Also, my cycle is mostly 28 days but sometimes it ranges from 27-31 days some months. Is that normal?!?!

I use the free Clue app to track my cycle and it is generally 27 days but can be as short as 24 or as long as 29 days. My cycle length has decreased from 5-7 days as a teenager to 3-4 days now. When I was long-distance hiking it was only 2 days! I guess length is my main concern currently!

I'm trying to track my cycle using BBT but I cannot find any relevant information specific for women in my situation. I am trying to follow Dr Mindy's Fast Like a girl protocol but it's difficult to track my cycle without the obvious marker of monthly menses.

Thank you for this! I’ve been to my doctor 3 times this year for multiple concerns. I was told if I get a period that means I ovulated but my cycles are between 29-53 days and heavy clots. Thyroid test came back a 3.5 but I was told that is “fine” for trying to get pregnant. Something feels off though. Should I get a second opinion?

I spent 13 years being dismissed by both my obgyn and my gp, yes - get a second and third opinion. The quality of your life could be impacted and you don't even know it, but to mention years and years of your fertile window will deplete. I'm now just starting with a fertility clinic at 34.5 to see what's going on... SMH. But yes, please get other opinions.

Hi Sara, it can be cause likely by stress but it can also mean that you have PCOS. I don’t know if you ever have that tested? I recommend testing it when you have had multiple irregular cycles.

So last 2 times I ovulated my boobs hurt loads when it happend I have one with positive test an one before that was by cm but this time I took concieve plus and I had 3 days with heigh tests and then but my boobs didn't hurt I got turned on easily this time tho. But now a week later my boobs are killing me my period should be due 10th. I've also had tummy pains on an off like pms last day pregnancy test say negative but the ovulation test came up darker one test an lighter with in 20 min I've had really bad heartburn waking me up kind of bad and still fairly wet down there just curious as it might be too soon to test

Is it “normal” to get ovulation like pain for 2 days before actual ovulation? I seem to know when my egg bursts, as I have an intense pain for about an hour or so… however, days of dull cramping before.

Yes, CM can be very little or more, depends on your water intake aswell.

And i remember this cause i was checking myself constantly during ovulation and i was like “yeah I’m not getting pregnant i have no “egg whites” all i had was clear watery discharge but i thought you had to have the egg whites, anyway, ended up getting pregnant that month lol

I thought a regular period was more or less getting a period every month. Period. I just went to a fertility doctor and had to fill out paperwork and it simply asked if you have a regular period, i said yes. How are we never educated about this?!?

@@rachelsleppy I'm definitely not the right person to ask, but I just listened to a podcast today that said a regular period is one that comes within a few days of when you expect it to, and has regular flow (if it's super light you may not be shedding your lining correctly, and super heavy could mean other issues). And it sounds like there's a range of what's normal in terms of the days between when it comes, but again I really have no idea.

No, your ovaries still produce follicles when on the pill, they're just prevented from maturing and die off.

I've heard some doctors say you have more eggs when on contraception. Basically not as many eggs are lost every month compared to not being on contraception. But you're still losing eggs.

I was on BC pills for 27.5 yrs, got off in JAN 2023, periods are still not regular. Age 46 and bought the ovulation test kit for when they do become regular. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We start off with millions of eggs and as we age it goes down by quite a bit but we still have hundreds of thousands. I wouldn't worry so much about number; it's all about the quality.
