Garu is full of energy in the house.
He has the most comfort in his room, but he also likes to fly around the living room.
When the owner relaxes alone in the living room at night, he stares at me.
I open the living room window, but some of his little wings fall out, so the next day I get angry with my family.lol
Even if I try hard and clean it, I can't get everything.
By the way, the French bulldog that appeared in the video a little is our new family.
He was born with a heart disease and nobody welcomed him. So, I decided to welcome him in consultation with my family.
His name is Gererere.

Fun fact - To hunt owls wings absorb a lot of the sound of their flying, making them nearly silent hunters, but to accomplish this their feathers had to sacrifice the waterproofing oil coating that most bird feathers have. Which means owls feathers do not repel water, they absorb it. So when they get wet, they can become too heavy to fly. Doesn't mean they don't enjoy a bath now and then, everyone likes to feel clean.

okarin sama This may be not 100% true, so take it with a grain of salt - and some more research on your side. The layer of oil on feathers, hairs, furs, or any similar coat will make them stiff, making them respond worse to rapid changes in airflow if located on wings. That may cause turbulence around the wings that can be audible to some prey animals. ‘Dry’, un-oiled feathers on owl wings can lead to smoother, more flexible, and more sensitive overall wing area that can respond better to airflow, limiting said turbulence, and ultimately, sound.

Very True Joshua Here I was amazed when i learned that. Im rural and the same family of owls has made this area home. Bout 2 or 3 babies a year hatch out, get trained & carry out the homeplace tradition yearly. Thats 1st hand experience and it can NEVER get old. 💖

I wish the poor owl in my spruce tree could have a good life like this. The poor thing was being picked on by a murder of crows, so I took a long piece of wood out there and guarded the owl until night fell and he could get away. He (or she) started making purring sounds when I protected it from the crows trying to swoop in at it.

@Karina Peters My cats do that too! I have three cats and one in particular (named Rosie) always answers me. Sometimes she sits on my lap and chatters at me for several minutes. I'm sure she thinks she's having a perfectly normal conversation with me. It's really sweet.

Time 00:50. That's one way of having a bath. Our Amazon parrot enjoyed the family shower. After the shower our hair dryer brought the bird the same pleasure, spreading out the wings to get them dried up as well. Nice to see the owl flying. They are clearly good flyers.

An Owl as a pet? Why not? They make very good companions. They are as dangerous is Eagles or Kites ...Good looking bird. I had one as my pet when I was a boy. However, it was not like that ... It stayed in the tree. It would come down through and stay for a while ...
