I'm starting a project on taxidermy and am just wondering, do you use the actual skull of the bird for the head? If not, then what do you use?

You can use the real skull I do too but only in a few birds. For the majority of the birds I mould and cast the skull and use an artificial skull.

Absolutely stunning! What sort of foam are you using on the necks? Do you purchase it in thinner strips like the sort of neck material you can buy from the suppliers?

Pretty much it’s the same Material , they are soft foam rods, but I like to buy thicker ones and carve them down to the shape I want.

Sir, how to preserve feet? We are supposed to inject something in feet so after drying it will not shrink?

Yes we do inject them. I have displayed that in my newer videos. I will upload them soon.

That’s just an old jar that I use it’s lid to pour my crazy glue on before I use it using my needle.

@@ArtofTaxidermy Mammals finish paint(other)works! Ear, eyes, nose, lips. Do you use layers, mod podge, laq. And what the brands you prefer? These things 😀

Oh i see... whatever you see I do will be just one way out of tens of other ways. There are endless options out there. But you will see my way too.
