most contacts have tungsten power. and your silver Butten will still be magnetic. test with magnet first and see which is magnetic.

Lead is used to help remove impurities from silver. As the lead oxidizes while molten, the lead oxide gets absorbed into the cement cupel and carries impurities with it. Cupellation is an interesting process for refining.

О, интересный вопрос вы задали. 🤔 А что, если взять тигель и очень тонким сверлом просверлить в нем отверстие так, чтобы, когда в него налить воды, вода не лилась тонкой струйкой, а капала. Затем установить Тигель над глубоким ведром с водой так, чтобы тигель находился 2-3 сантиметра над поверхностью воды, затем положите в тигель золото и начать его плавить. Я не уверен насчет формы каждой капли, но вес каждой капли должен быть одинаковым. Я бы сделал именно так 🙂

Спасибо я так делаю но оно получается иди полукруглая шляпа или как сосулька даже ставил в ёмкость с водой железный штырь нанизывл яблоко и бил на боковину тоже не получилось как дробь понятно что форма сути не меняет но хочется шарики поэтому вам написал более менее получается если лью на сито из нержавейки но потом часть прилепает и приходится портить сито спасибо за ваш ответ а вы где трудитесь страна

Hello, this is some scale up... I did clean silver by cupelation to 99,8% (XRF reading), but only small amount and using bismuth, not lead... Will you clean it by electrolysis, or just sell as is?

@@OwlTech333 Nice, for inquartation is good enough... 🙂 I have lots (kgs) of various silver scrap accumulated through last 2 years, thinking about to clean it to crystaline purity. Not sure about method for initial extraction... This looks kinda scary to me... I have no place to do such procedure...

It concentrates silver by alowing oxidation of other metals than silver, oxides "slide" to cement and are absorbed, it is called cupelation or fire assay, used also for gold. Other (non precisious) metals burn, silver and gold does not...
