What's funny is that The Dry Reef has a rule that says the 3 bites rule doesn't apply in death circle (which you were 100% in) so that admin just had it out for you

Funny thing is, according to The Dry Reef's own rules, death circling is NOT tailriding. Actually, per their own rules, the Rex was rulebraking, since you had the leg break and not the rex. He should have been the one to peel off after 3 bites.

If you were to submit a ticket, you’d 100% get your Acro back. It’s rather funny, because if you look earlier in the video, one of the admins in global says you’re allowed to tailride with a broken leg. So, your death was at the hands of the admin who called you out. You did nothing wrong. 👍🏼

It’s hard to express how much of a respectable player you are! Definitely one of the best if not the best isle player out there. It sucks that admins ruin the game, ik sm other youtubers that complain abt them.

I remember learning the game and the server rules at the same time. It was quite difficult, i couln't even tell the difference between AI and a player :) It's better to teach these players instead of punishing them. Especially in game with such unstable population.

What you did for the stegosaurus was super honorable.

There was definitely a lot of foul play on the admins' part. The one that got you killed outright disobeyed the server's own rules in order to punish you. However, your sheer amount of composure and respect towards the other players in the game and the entirely undeserving admins gives you my highest commendations. I've stuck around this channel for a while because of that very reason, and continue to be impressed.

Personally, I don't view a lot of admins in various games and servers similar to this one in a positive light. They are often times either too aggressive in their attempts to moderate the server or too lax in their ability to punish players. I think that a lot of admins think their better than other players just because they are admins and they try to flex that power. Though I've never been confrontational with an admin before, I'm sure the day will come eventually due to me playing on semi-realism servers most of the time. Though with all the limitations I've come across when joining a server, never have I ever heard one as odd as limiting your ability to defend yourself by only using three bites at a given time.

To each their own when it comes to how to moderate a server, however, I'd simply let the situation play out then speak with the individuals on what went wrong and how to improve in the future. Simple as that. Nice videos as always Owl! You are an inspiration.

Always love seeing a new video from you. Sounds like the admins on Dry Reef got their heads up their asses though, stalking you while you play like that. It was blatantly apparent that the fight between you and the rex was going to go blow for blow without the 3-bite limit. The rex wasn't stopping, and neither could you. Did they just expect you to tank the loss, waste your time with a report and wait however long it took them to review it? Yikes. Good video, though- in spite of the bad actors. ♥

I can understand the 3 bites rule to prevent assrides but in that situation I'd make an exception since if 1 rex bb is enough to essentially cripple you to death then what else are you supposed to do? gives rex even more power with its monopoly of the bb status

I remember having issues with admins power tripping me as well on this server. One time tried to tell me he could read our group messages lol. You were playing fair the whole time, and I've been on DRs server before. Being leg-broken is an exception there if I recall, so obviously that admin didn't know the rules of their own server x)

Hi Owl, always great to see how sportsmanlike you are but I have to say I've completely stopped playing this game because of the community and admins. Most of the people I've met in this game are unbearably toxic and shitty. The amount of threats and verbal abuse that get thrown around in global chat for the sake of protecting these ass backwards rules is insane I'm convinced there is a portion of the population of players in this game who only play in order to record and report others, they do it so casually and aggressively that it seems like the game for them isn't hunting dinosaurs but instead hunting for a reason to report someone. For example, I had a fight and killed a dino and so I was waiting for the body to despawn. A short while later a group of aggressive looking dinos comes by and me reasonably not wanting to get ganked by people who may or may not RB me stand up and move a bit away and talk to them. Instead of simply asking me what was going on or if the body was mine or what I was doing their first response was to start berating me in chat and threaten to report me for moving from my body. Then they proceeded to surround me when I came back for my body and waited a bit away in the jungle only to instantly rush me the second I stood up to move away from the body when it despawned. It is difficult to express how beyond aggravating a game like this is to play when I have to play according to rules that can be used in a loop hole manner and so I stopped, not because I dislike the game but because I despise the community. What a shame, love your videos though keep it up!

So refreshing to see simple "kindness' to fellow players!!! Unfortunately it's seemingly becoming more and more rare... Unless you're about to drop dead from starvation or the weaker opponent is "spotting", what's the point of killing a younger dino player that has no possible chance of defending themselves successfully and thereby pushing another player out of the game? We need MORE adult dino players or this game gets really boring pretty quickly. KUDOS OwLTime!!! WELL PLAYED!!!

There’s now a rule in Dry Reef that says you can only hunt other players if you can skin them…so couple that with the 3-bite rule, your only hope is to hunt AI and call it a day (Amazing video btw!! Keep all that solid work up!)

I don't know if you are interested in suggestions but the server Crimson isle has pretty good rules, most admins are very chill and to be fair it could use exposure too. If you would be interested check it out :D I wouldn't mind nesting you in as non survival dinos too along with quite a few other people on the server

Great video btw it was really entertaining! regarding some of the admin stuff, I did admin for a isle server just like the dry reef. I can see how it may look when a admin trying to give out punishments to new players or banning them for breaking the rules, but understand that we do it so they may enter a discord so they may understand and read the rules and since they are new its most likely they wont receive a punishment. Now i cant speak for all admins on the isle but im sure all try there best. I also know the TDR’s rules as i play there time to time, and regarding that last rex fight you were not in the wrong you should of been able to tailride the rex coz your leg was broken, although it does depend if the rule was in action at the time of recoding. And I do agree admins should let the fight play out before interfering. But despite all that the videos are really entertaining keep them up^^

Gotta admit, your a much more chill player and veteran than most. Letting that rex that hard-logged go, and teaching silent lessons to the rookie players [Sometimes with a bite ;)] overall, your quite a solid player, the sort that a gaming community relies on to function and have fun. salutes to ya, o7.

2:07 you are so real for this i love playing herbis but it just isnt fun when your a fresh adult getting rejected by your heard so you need to move and get picked off by a apex, any random apex would probably take the stego and say they were "bad at the game" or "ezy" which has happend to me.

Some of those admins take that stuff WAY too seriously. At the same time, there are some that I’ve had interactions with who were really great to be around. Obviously everyone is different. I think sometimes having that power over people gets into their heads

As much as I would rant on about the admin related things that happened, I could care less about it compared to the rest of the video. Overall it was great, and honestly I've enjoyed having your content simply as background noise, something to watch while eating, or simply something to keep my brain deeply distracted with. The miniature stories are a joy to focus on, it feels like I'm watching a documentary! I've never really had any dislikes of your content. Some of the videos you make on games like Day of Dragons or Beasts of Bermuda give me a glimpse into what I may be looking forward to as games I'd like to play, so I thank you for that.

24:50 that story reminds me of progression days when I had an allo and I saw a acro following me so I freaked out and hard logged. Later I was like "NOOO what why is my allo gone"

I dont think combat logging is always about escaping. I think in this case the guy actually rage quit. He thought he got away then hear you and was like ahh fuck and alt f4.

I have two amazing stories as Acro. The second was a Acro I had on a popular No-Rules servers for a few months. I was one hit away from 1v1 winning a fight with a toxic spino player. A giga took advantage of the situation, bit once and it died. We ended laughing about it later on. But when I was a big noob. Took a Acro egg. Mom put only a tiny bit of food in the nest after nesting four of us. Then she left us and logged without a word. Many my siblings considered us dead, being newborns with no food. I rallied us together to fight a ava. It... was hell. No other ai would spawn. We nearly starved to death but by a miracle the Ava broke and stood still, we killed it and somehow all made it to adulthood. During that struggle, four sub rexes tried hunting us. I... 1v4'd them because my siblings were the worst at surrounding awareness. I didn't know better. I barely understood the Isle. I just fought the best I could and accidentally killed two at the same time on top of one another. Meaning both bodies were mine. The other two ran, a third died. The fourth cOuLd HaVe claimed that body but.... just kept running. By then my siblings FINALLY came over wondering what the racket was. Those three bodies is what fed us nearly to full adulthood.

I dont think ive ever seen such a respectable isle player, like you dont fight back and lash out at the admins even if they are being unreasonable, you give people chances and let them live for being a good player overall and dont diss others who are new to the game. Keep it up man
