I ❤ all your tutorials! This is absolutely great if you're making a minimal amount of jump rings. I bought some cutters that are "supposed" to cut flat on both sides but are difficult to use to cut multiples because they tilt when cutting. I also bought jump ring pliers to use with my saw and that was a waste of money. It was easier to cut them with my saw at my bench pin. Thanks for all the help you give everyone. Cheers!🙂

most wire cutters make a flat cut on one side and a "pinched" cut on the other. The pliers I am using in this video are Swanstrom brand, before these I was using Xuron brand and they work the same way

Thank you so much for this video. I cannot find anything about how to harden jump rings by hammering them. Can you suggest a site or a way to do this?

I use a chasing hammer and an iron block(to do it on). I just place the jump ring down and hammer it with the flat side of the chasing hammer. I will try to make video soon.

What guage and firmness do you usually use for jump rings?

I usually use 18 gauge half hard.

I like 18 gauge, but I don't have half hard so that's why I hammer it

How do i know if i should get soft, full hard or half hard? I want to make small 3mm 22g jump rings.

Half hard typically works well for jump rings, but I have not tried full hard
