This is awesome. Would it work on a low roof Toyota hiace van when the back door is up?

You can put it to any vehicle provided you have the appropriate mounting points. Depending on how high you mount the awning, you may find that the rear door will hit one of the poles/spars at the back when open. 23Zero have considered this with their Peregrine awning, which provides a little less coverage but does away with a pole a the rear to accommodate lift up tailgates, you can see more information here - www.snowys.com.au/peregrine-270-awning-with-lst. ~ Ben
