Chorus:
And they don't really know even what they're talking about
And I can't imagine what empty heads can achieve
Leave me alone, don't want your promises no more
'Cause rock and roll is my religion and my law
Won't ever change, may think it's strange
You can't kill rock and roll, it's here to stay

(Lyrics) How many times can they fill me with lies and I listen again? Twisting the Truth and they're playin' around with my head okay The things they will do and the things they will say But they don't really understand Tears fill my Eyes when I hear all the cries for the reason today (chorus) And they don't really know even what they're talkin' about And I can't imagine what empty heads can achieve Leave me alone, don't want your promises no more 'Cause Rock 'n' Roll is my Religion and my Love Won't ever change, may think it's strange You can't kill Rock 'n' Roll, it's here to stay Looking through eyes of time, Mirrors reflecting their stories untrue Promises, promises telling me all of my glories overdue How many times have I heard it before and I'll probably hear it again King of a thousand Knights, pawn in a table fight losing to you Even the Rhymes that they give me in times of confession ain't true Outcome is obvious, all for them none for us meaning you too The things they will do and the things they will say When they don't really understand Fear of Rejection, I need their protection I'm making a stand

@@1wickedgroove Randy was phenomenal, my favorite guitarist ever.I’m such an admirer of him and I admire Ozzy as well . I hear what your saying but thank god they got together, I truly believe they brought out the best in one another . I think of this way , with Quiet Riot Randy was really good but they were more of a pop rock metal type band . When he joined Ozzy he grew so much , 1000 times better . Songs like Diary of a Madman , Believer , Revelation Mother Earth , You Can’t Kill Rock n Roll , SATO,Mr Crowley etc etc would never have been possible in Quiet Riot they weren’t that kind of band . Randy brought out everything with Ozzy , all that neo classical material and much of his playing on Diary and Blizzard sounded so gothic and heavy . I hear what you’re saying Randy would have been great whatever path he chose but we’re lucky as fans they chose one another. Those two albums they made together are epic . Diary is the greatest album ever imho . By the way did you happen to see the Flying High Again video Ozzy released on KZfaq today ? If you haven’t you need to check it out , it is off the hook . It’s pretty much all Randy clips . I thought that was classy of Ozzy to do that ! BTW I like your channel I subscribed . Peace my fellow Rhoadie!

@@seangagnonProvidenceR.I. .... yeah,i saw the video . Pretty cool. This isn't my channel by the way. And Blizzard is the first time i ever had the privilege to hear Randy play!! Bob Daisley had a lot to do with those albums sounding so good too! Those lyrics fit Ozzy perfectly!! I'll never forget the first time i heard Randy when my friend came back from Chicago with the brand new Blizzard of Oz album, or when i heard he was gone. The radio was making it sound like Ozzy was in the plane at first. I was flipping out because I had my Diary tour ticket...then they came back in a few and said Randy was gone. I bawled like a baby bro. It's bothered me ever since. But hey, thanks for the input and all. And joining somebody's channel 🙂 Later bro

Yep. Everyone involved in the band was on their A game. Also has some of Ozzy’s best vocal work. Even Lee Kerslake was significantly more noticeable in the songwriting than he was in Uriah Heep. Too bad management got in the way. The band was never the same after Randy, and the albums got really spotty after the third. I prefer Dio era Sabbath and his solo work better in general, but if the ‘Blizzard of Ozz’ band continued for a few more albums they easily would have been equals.

Wonderful era of Ozzy Ozbourne with this song and albumn. And the fact that I was a teenager at this time just makes this whole era seem like magic. PLUS, Ozzy and Randy's partnership in writing lyrics and riffs, it was just like catching lightening in a bottle. Just a rare thing that isn't likely to be done by many people, a special connection that should be recognized for what it is a RARE thing. Once Randy died in the plane crash, that special connection was GONE. Ozzy is still making great music with other artists, BUT, the Ozzy and Randy Rhodes era is a GOLDEN ERA. It took place, and can never happen again. It should be CHERISHED. That era is what had gotten Ozzy recognized, at least in MY recollection. BUT, Ozzy had been a great musician in his own right, so, even after Randy's death, Ozzy kept making great metal music. BUT, Randy had worked greatly with Ozzy to make great music.

Two of heavy metals biggest losses. The metal and hard rock movement and industry would've flourished so much harder with just the sound and riffs of THOSE TWO still being around. The music they would've composed and then heard by us all would have been otherworldly and so absolutely phenomenal. It sickens me everyday to think about what It would've sounded like. Just imagine what Ozzy, James, Lars, and Kirk deal with on a daily basis of what mightve been. The 2 biggest losses of heavy metal history for sure and a prodigious and huge void that will never be filled. RIP Randy Rhoads and Cliff Burton. Here's an extra kicker for you. Imagine if the 2 would have lived and met down the road and ended up cutting an instrumental track together and the magnificently magic metal sound that would've emanated out of a once in a lifetime meeting such as that. The thought of it literally sends chills up my spine!
